I?ve really gotten into bourbon over the last year. Chasing down rare and new bottles has become a bit of a hobby for me. What are some of your favorites? Are there bottles that you can?t find that you?d like to get your hands on?

Lately my favorite has been Woodford Reserve Doubled Oaked. I love it.

I like Eagle Rare but it?s tough to find up here.

Looking for a Blantons. Those are very rare here.

What exactly do u want, and I?ll look for you. Not saying I?ll find it, but it?s possible. This is the state for bourbon, and I travel around a lot.

I have been looking for some George T. Stagg for 4 years now for another friend that I have yet to find.

I had some Eagle Rare this summer. It was tasty. I have had that Woodford you mentioned, and it is very good I agree. I have heard the Four Roses (usually lower end cheap bourbon) Small Batch is very good, but I haven?t tried it yet. I?m not a connoisseur of bourbon like some of my friends as I rarely drink, but I do know a little about it.

I?m not cheap, but I?m just as happy with mid range bourbons as opposed the the very pricey small batch choices.

Sipping Angel?s Envy as I type. Opened a bottle of E.H. Taylor[ my favorite bourbon ] last night for a friend to taste. Toured several distilleries last year over 10 day period in Ky. Brought back a years supply of Buffalo Trace, Blanton?s, Weller?s and E.H. Taylor. The small batch 4 Roses is very good. Cost about same as Blanton?s.Love Eagle Rare but it is harder to get than last year. I highly recommend Woodinville. Made in Washington State. Great buy for 35.00.1792 is my favorite low end bourbon. An ex Sazerac salesman brought me a bottle of their great tasting high end Full Proof. I recommend trying Henry McKenna and Wild Turkey Rare Breed. Stay thirsty my friend.

I?d love any Blantons, Weller or EH Taylor that you could ever get your hands on for $100 or less. I can?t get them here and the secondary market is just crazy. There are too many good choices for $50 or less out there so I have a hard time paying $200 for a $60 bottle of Blantons.

Are there any certain bottles of booze or beer that you?d like me to look for? I?m on the road all of the time too and would be happy to pick up anything you?d like.

That goes for everyone else too.

Stay well everyone!

Glad to see a thread on bourbon, its my choice drink. I was lucky to score a bottle of pappy 20 year old in the PA wine & spirits annual lottery last year for $250. Finally found a bottle of eagle rare this week at retail price of $30. Trying to locate some Weller at a reasonable price. Refuse to pay 5x at a secondary site. Has anyone had Russells Reserve 10 yr? I heard it is one of the better Wild Turkey brands.

Lowell, nice suggestion on colonel taylor. Which one of those is your favorite? They are never in stock in PA

1. E.H. Taylor 40.00
2. Buffalo Trace 26.00
3. Eagle Rare 30.00

I am from Kentucky and recommend a road trip there for any bourbon drinkers. Tour Buffalo Trace and you can buy only 1 bottle each of Blanton?s, Trace and EH Taylor. Don?t go to liquor stores in towns on the Bourbon Trail. Spend a day or 2 going to a few small towns and that is where I bought half gallons of Weller?s and Buffalo Trace for 44.00. Same thing in Frankfort was 125.00. At 4 Roses distillery they give you a beautiful whiskey glass to taste bourbon and you keep the glass.
I do recommend you try the Woodinville. Could not believe how good it was for 35.00. Let me know if you try it. Next time my brother and I go we will not drive the Honda w small trunk. We will take the SUV and really stock up.

My go to bottles are Angels, Evan Williams Single Barrel, and Michter's American (us-1). And buy a handle of Evan Williams 1783 for your coke mixing friends. Cheap as dirt and surprisingly drinkable straight in case you run out of the good stuff. And holy crap, I haven't logged in for quite a while. Looks like I've officially been on this site for 20 freaking years......
