I just got dtv and want to watch the games on the patio but don't have a box out there. Is there a way to split the signal via an hdmi cable or something ?
Thanks:toast:

If it's just a temporary thing get you some cable at Lowes or somewhere and run it out off the main TV.

not sure about direct tv...but i know you can`t split off a verizon box with a coaxial cable.....that`s the bad part...

the good part is that you can get an hdmi splitter and split the signal to another tv with a long hdmi cable alone(the video and sound will be transferred via the hdmi so you don`t need to run a coaxial)....problem is,you can`t change channels unless your within pointing distance of the cable box... ..

with comcast, you could buy a little pyramid looking gizmo called a "powermid transmitter"....with that you can trnsmit picture and remote commands from comcast`s little "basic cable" box(doesn`t work on their hi def boxes)....

if you shop around on the net you can find long hdmi`s and hdmi splitters...hope you find something that works for you...

I have one works great . :0008

It works great even on 2.4GHZ? That band has got to be getting to the point that interference is gonna be a problem soon.

I know people who won't use it for things like flying FPV because of how loaded it's getting.

Interference is not an issue for you?

It has a switch on the side that lets you select one of four channels on 2.4GHZ.
Make sure to have the paddles pointing toward each other. It takes a little bit to get it just right.

Only drawback is static when the microwave is on

I have one of these as well. Different brand, same thing. They work great. Same problem when the microwave is on.

Isn't this a simple temporary thing for just one day on the patio?
