I recently got a phone call from a collection agency demanding payment for a Visa account they said was mine. Asked them to send me something in the mail and they said that they already had a week ago and would not do it again. After refusing to negotiate and accept a fax settlement they did send me a letter. Got it today and pulled my credit report could not find it or anything close to it on the roport.
What should I do? Do I even need to worry about it if it is not on my report?
