I don't know if ya'll are as into Nascar like I am but I was wondering if anyone is as excited about Sunday as I am! I know it will finally be a whole year since we lost Dale but it should be a great race!

Who's your favorite drivers?

Kevin Harvick and Dale Jr.

i know watching the twin 125's on the pc will help pass time at my non-productive job....imagine working in the planning department for a massive telecommunication company that has cut expenditures to nil....not a whole lot to plan for.....anyways gotta root for Dale Jr. and like Tony Stewart just for the fact that he loves putting Gordon in to the wall just as much as he likes winning......cant wait for the race at Texas Motor Speedway....will be the front and center(well at the beer garden anyways)

Hey monk,

Did you notice when Mayfield was a rookie he had that cow of an old lady that followed him around every time there was a photo session? Well a couple of years later and a few more wins and now it seems Mr Mayfield has got himself a hot little replacement ( either that or Fanny May lost about 200 pounds and got some plastic surgery! ) And now he flaunts that little Beaaatch to the camera every time he sees one! Got to like his Style!

Die hard Nascar Fan - My favorite driver is Jeff Gordon, went to school with his step-sister, his dad (biological) is a hoot. Although I was in Reno last weekend and put some cash on Little E to and Gordon to win the cup. Put more on Jr. due to it being tough to win 2 weeks in a row. I travel for business and if I am within 20 miles of a track I have to visit and pick up a shirt. My brother like Ward Burton, I give him sh*t because Ward sounds like Boomhower on King of the Hill.

Big Blue,

I just now saw this thread.

Hell yes I am a NASCAR fan. I love the damn sport. It is the only thing that keeps going through baseball season waiting for college football.

I am a JEFF GORDON fan. I know, I know, all of you (including the non-NASCAR guys) hate him. Sorry I think he is great.

Also, to go ahead and answer this comment: No he is not gay, just look at his wife Brooke.

I am pumped about Dayton. Go Gordon, Johnson, T. Labonte, and Nadeau.

Not me Bama, the 24 car made me alot of money last year (14-1 to win the cup @ Harrahs in Reno) not to mention race to race. I think everyone thought the 24 was a flash in the pan due to Evernham, granted he is great CC but....Jeff can drive. The 24 car is going after all of the King's records:D

Go to motor sports forum. Lots of nice cash made there last year on Formula 1. And a nice sum from Nascar to. F1 was better in long run for the doallrs. Tell you what made heck lot more there then from Basket Ball. I like many of the drivers. Only one gets under by skin big time. Rick dicky Rudd. I just like to see good races more then anything. If the fords don't win that's ok. Nothing big time against them. Just like Chevs, Pontchos and the new Dodge better. Here them ford boys are complaing already that rules are aginst them. Just get in the cars and drive boys. Could be those Chevs and Pontchos just got some better drivers.

I too love the sport. Local kid, Brian Rose, just finished third in the Truck race yesterday! I like Jeff Gordon too.

Something helpful to all of you who think NASCAR is just a bunch of stupid rednecks going round and round and round. Pick out a guy u like and about 10 u don't like. Root for your guy and against the others. That's what makes it fun. U have to have some rooting interest. I root for Gordon and a few other Chevrolet drivers, and I root AGAINST Ford (Found On Road DEAD) :p

How about Old Boomhauer? Nice to see a good ole Boy win it!

If Little E can't do it maybe Harvick can if he can't then anybody besides Dale Jarret of Jeff Gordon! Just too many times I've watched em win and now it's someone elses turn!

Congrats Ward!

On the course!
I'd rather watch short track speed skating!

I will watch a lap or two between commercials of a real sporting event, and yesterday, while the "red-neck rodeo" was holding up the broadcast of the NBA game, I saw the 'big finish'!

I say have the even number cars go one way on the track, and the odd numbers go the other way...........that I would watch!

It was a wild race yesterday. I almost died laughing when Marlin get out of his car and start pulling on his fender. But I loved his answer when he was asked about it by reporters.

He said:
"I saw Earnhardt do it at Richmond one time in 1987, he got out and cleaned his windshield, so I thought it was OK," Marlin said. "I don't guess it was. Never read the rule book, so maybe I should. "

Just the way he said that was a riot.

Why did I know this was coming :) . Anyway Ward was in the right place @ the right time. I thought Gordon was going to pull it out, but rubbin is racing. I agree congrats to Ward.

Being a Gordon fan I was very disappointed with what happened at the end of the race.

I was happy that Ward won. I looked at it this way, at least we get to here Burton talk. He has the greatest Southern accent of any driver or any person in the world.
