I checked 5dimes and a few others- are any online books offering odds that I can play right now for NCAA title futures?

Wagerweb had them recently. I think UNC was at 3500.00

Just saw 50-1 and 75-1 for UNC on 2 sites but WagerWeb do not have any posted. Florida at 4-1 had shortest odds. Who do you like?

Lowell-

It's not that I like them but I think NC State at 60:1 has tremendous value. Having lost 4 of 5 drove the odds up but honestly they have what it takes to make a run to the final four. Not too different than last year. If they can make the final four and I lay 3-$500 at 60:1 I'd have some great hedging opportunities in the final four. It was only 1 month ago those odds were at 25:1. Once Lorenzo Brown is back they are a different team. I know someone very close to the inside and it's just some attitude issues- But you can see, when they want to turn it on, they can play great basketball (UNC 1st half and 2nd half against you guys recently). State is not used to playing with the expectation of being the team on top and they are still adjusting. But I do think in a tournament setting they can turn it on and make a run.

Again, not that I think they will win, but I think at 60:1 and a decent shot at making the final four it would provide some great value with hedging. I honestly think your guys have a strong chance to win it all this year.

Thoughts?

I would take State to win Acc tournament with good odds. To win NCAA you have to play half court game against some teams. In uptempo game I like State vs anyone but they cannot seem to play at another pace.
The schedule does set up well for them for the rest of the year. They could go 8-0 or 7-1.

30 years since "1983" for State. They are a lot better than their record. Lost 4 conf games by a total of 6 points. A couple heartbreaking tip-ins at buzzer.

Brown injured letting Lewis get some experience at pt guard. Perhaps similar to Whittenburg being hurt and I think Gannon was backup on that team (2-guard though, not pg)

I agree....don't think its gonna happen but there is some value. I also agree that State just isn't comfortable being the favorite. That goes for the team and the fan base. They thrive on being the underdog...winning that game they aren't supposed to..."overcoming adversity"..."shocking the world"....and then losing to average teams and going back to being average themselves.

I do like the idea of putting a little on them and preparing to hedge in the final 4 if they make a run..

1Vice has the futures up right now...I can give you specific team odds if you don't have access.

I think most here think they are a very good/safe outfit and I concur.

NC State is +4500.

Books must be reading my posts :mj07: Down to 50:1 in vegas it appears.

All that's needed is a final four appearance and the hedge possibilities all but guarantee profit.

Just checked 5 dimes:

NC was 80 - 1
State 15 - 1

I played Miami, Fla a week ago at 14 - 1, they are now 8 - 1.
