Hey guys I have a question. We just bought a fridge with an ice/water dispenser and they asked if we have the correct copper setup, etc. They told me if we didn't we'd have to get a plumber to set it up.

Unfortunately the house is 600 miles away. I have a picture of the spot where the fridge will rest and blew it up to try to show the water hook up. I think it looks like it's ready to go but to be honest I have no idea what I'm looking for.

Here is a blurry enlarged image of the hook up. Hopefully someone here with the knowledge can make sense of my post. Thanks in advance for any help we appreciate it.

You are good to go. That is an ice-maker box. You should only need a short piece of 1/4" copper tubing that will connect to that valve in the ice-maker box and then to your fridge. (Might need a 1/4" ferrule & nut for the fridge side) Don't forget to turn that valve on once you have the tubing hooked up on both ends.

don't use copper. just get a stainless steel braided or pvc lined refridgerator hookup line. they come in 5, 10 or 20 feet long. they have the correct hookup ends already on them. i suggest getting it from Lowe's, I'm a sales manager for them. :)

I wouldn't go to Lowes or Home Depot. Saint see if you have a local mom and pop plumbing store in your area. They should hook you up and answer any questions you have. You ask questions at Home Depot you might find water coming out of your ceiling fan. it really isn't that tough a job as long as you can find a cold water pipe to tap into. Running the line was my biggest hurdle. Make sure you get enough of that copper(what i used) flex pipe. Man i hated the days of making Ice

1. You should have "haggled" delivery and hook-up! :)
2. You also should have thrown in a digital camera to your package. :)

I actually tried :142smilie because home depot has free delivery, but he correctly pointed out that they will charge for tubing, etc where hhgregg did not.

2. I tried two get the weber grill I am looking at but since they don't stock the model on the floor i wanted they couldn't order it

So you are correct on both counts! :mj07:

This is dead on. Go to Home Depot and get the pkg that has the copper line and the connections about 12 bucks or so.

You will probably have to bleed the line when it's hooked up. Turn the water on and crack the line on the fridge end until you get water out of the fitting then tighten. GL
