Are there any first round possible upsets that hold value. Know the Pistons are a lock so no value there. Wondering if the Heat or Spurs could tumble and pay off high dividens for a relatively low risk. Any thoughts are appreciated. GL to all

Looking at 2 series. #1 Clippers will advance even past a favorite. They are healthy and might bring some value against a second round opponent who will be favored according to local sources. #2 Also, the Wizzards will out play the Cavaliers but LeBron will get the calls that superstars always get in the playoffs and the Cavs will advance. Look for the calls not to make a difference in the Cavs second round. These are potential values that go against the public perception and thus might make for value plays at a low risk.

wash.

wash.

I kind of like wash. at +170 for the series.
they are big and long and match up well against lebrons slashing style. plus lebron is just off turning his ankle and is not at 100%. butler has looked very good since being back, arenas will get his and jefferies and danials will have big games at some point.
Lebron will need calls to advance.
wash. steals at least one in Clev. and win the series.
pretty even teams, I'll take the odds in this one.

Soul Train, I did'nt plan on betting on the playoffs, but I do feel that washington will go far. Since you also like it, I'll tail you on this one.

the more look at it...

the more look at it...

the more I think that there is value in IND at +310
vs. NJ.
I know the nets are firing right now but they really do only got 3 guys and a kristic. Ind is very solid w/much better bigs. oniel is back to form and harrison got some much needed experience while he was gone. foster will come in and bang. bender (similar to tayshon prince) is a baller and will make plays, stephen jackson can score it in bunches, anthony johnson is very under rated, and peja is looking like his old self. It wasn't long ago that Ind was one of the favorites to win the east.
NJ may very well win this series but at +310 I'll take a shot. Kidd and Carter, although talented, are very fragile and could go down at any point. I definatley would not lay chalk on this NJ team.
Ind +310

The NJ IND series is the exact type of matchup that is a good value here. Good analysis. I worry that Soul Train is on Wash. as his picks remain solid and well thought out. I stay with my original pick of Cleveland as the league has demonstrated time after time that the Superstars get calls in the playoffs and this series should be close enough that this will matter. Heat and Bulls still holds interest for me as the value is high and Shaq is OLD. Not any locks here but early in the playoffs these values do exist. Good Luck to everybody

i am putting huge faith in the kings and i also like indy for a possible upset

kings are a solid team. they match up very well with san ant. and this game is all about the matchups. this team is only an 8 seed cause of their early season woes. you can already see that the books are scared of this series. det is like -3000 and san ant is -1100....(or around those prices) number one, its going to take balls to bet against the champs to go down first round. this series will def. go 6-7. i am on the kings for sure, and i dont' wanna see a game seven in san ant. but i am firing hard on these guys. they played them tight in the reg season (2 games) even without ron, and they beat them with ron.

people are saying the lakers are the upset, i am seeing the kings as the upset. (these teams have also never met in the post season) i see this team like det. a few years back. if a team gets a great player midseason and they start to roll, watch out. kings could storm these playoffs.....(sheeeeed esque)

just my thoughts, and if kings upset the spurs in the series i will have a healthly profit ;)

These are the kind of values I am talking about. Worth passing up a steak dinner tonight to eat caviar a week from now. Actually caviar really sucks, lets call it 3 cases of Heineken and Prime Rib all around. They call it gambling for a reason. Behave yourselves...
