I'm going for a few days around the solstice. Have no clue what to expect or do, just figure it will be interesting. Any advice?

My brother has gone a couple of times for that golf tournament that they have there where you tee off at midnight and play all night since the sun doesn't set. He loves it there, I am hoping to go one of these years that he goes.

June 17-23ish. Gonna go to England right after for a couple weeks - the height of World Cup - basically a big pub crawl. Hopefully England has deep run and the ladies will respond with glee.

That would be awesome if you showed up in Reykjavik, Jack! ....Very surreal, but also very awesome!

Did you just wake up this morning and think, "Hey, you know what? I'm gonna go to Iceland!" Or did something spur this on?

Oh boy, I dunno.....I'm guess the "Intl" one would be the biggie. ...Don't think it matters though - even if you land on the wrong side of the island, it couldn't be worse than landing in Ontario when you want LAX.

Sort of. I was originally going to do a Spain trip with a friend who knows the language really well. He flaked, so I decided to call an audible for myself. Always wanted to go somewhere way north for solstice, want to see Iceland anyway - AND it's a common layover for London flights. World Cup, England, chance to explore that place again. ...It's like a perfect storm - I better do it.

They got drinks, they cannot be THAT boring. I'm giving it a go. I can be the guinea pig.

Worst case scenario, I can talk to other tourists about how boring Iceland is.

I used to have a thing for that Icelander. If that's what the ladies look like, I'll be happy.
