theres a slew of em on the market...dremel has one(sawmax)...worx has one(handycut)...and rockwell`s versacut appears to be the most well known...sears has a craftsman model....

they look great for small jobs like doorjambs, trim(no,not that trim),framing, tile, window work,....

for a little over a hundred bucks, they look like a solid investment(IF they work as advertised)...

anybody ever use one?...opinion?....

I have one, I think it's a Ryobi (not sure). Good tool to have, but don't think it's going to cut as fast as a regular circular saw.

Very maneuverable and light weight, but by no means a replacement for the real thing.

bought the rockwell versacut and took it back...couldn`t make flush cuts...and couldn`t see the work because of the footing(the spring on the footing was way too tight)....

so i ordered the dremel saw max through amazon(coming tomorrow).....also got the miter tool...it looks more versatile ......the rockwell was nice, but the safety features overwhelmed the damned thing...made it hard to work with...

thanks for the replies...i`ll update regarding whether the dremel is worth a damn or not...it looks very nice...
