TV, at www.uefa.com you will be able to find news concerning those games

Those games are Champions league qualification rounds

All games you refered are in theory big favourites. Regarding Porto team, you don't need to worry about because they will win.

Galatasaray should win too without problems.

Anderlecht - it seems they lost some good players but they are big favourites

About Steaua I don't have any infos

Few goodies in here - Nolan is doing quite a bit on football nowdays, s7ven and durwood also "on the ball".

I love football, it's my no1 sport to follow and play, but I don't bet too regularly on it. With the info that's being shared here of late, that may change

Leagues:
All sides play in their respective country's elite league ; Galatasaray (Turkey), Anderlecht (Belgium), Steaua Bucharest (Romania) and FC Porto (Portugal).

Gala's home venue is particularly intimidating, especially for non-Turkish sides in Euro competitions...

I must say with all the differnet leagues and teams, it is not easy to follow all the matches and be as knowledgeable, especially with the lack of coverage here in the USA about these games. It's one reason I'm staying out of the UK -- too many divisions and teams to keep track of.

However, I can offer two bits of information which I know something that can be of use.

STEAUA BUCHAREST (or BUCURESTI) was a top team a decade ago, before the Romanian Revolution. The even won the European Cup one year (1987 I think it was). After that time, all the top Romanian players left the country and played in Western Eueope for the big money. Romania still fields an excellent national team, but that's when all of its expatriots are in uniform. STEAUS, which means "star" in Romanian (my wife is Romanian) -- which used to be the team supported by the Army. Their intense rival at the time (still is, I believe) was DYNAMO BUCURESTI, which was the team of Military Internal Affairs (the state police or Securitate). WHen these two teams played, it was a bloodbath. I went to a game once in Bucharest as 23 August Stadium and an enromous riot broke out -- hundreds, if not thousands of fans charging each other and causing mallee. The fans burned each others colors and that led to a practical war. When these two teams battle, its fierce. Oddly enough, they come together when the national team plays and there are some teammates. STEAUA is a shell of their former self. I don't recall them doing anything in the last decade -- although they stil have the training, infrastructure, and name within Romania to dominate the Division 1 in Romania -- playing lightweights like Timisoara, Iasi, Kluj, etc. From what I recall, Romanian soccer matches used to be very high scoring. But I haven't looked in recent years. To my knowledge, there is no betting on the Romanian league, but only when STEAUA or DYNAMO plays in international match, such as the European Cup.

GALATASARAY is a very famous team based in Istanbul Turkey. This is the quivalent of the NY Yankees of the Turkish nation. They have all the best players every year and play top competition against the likes of Real Madrid, Milano, Bayern Munchen, Manchester, and many others that are famous. Turkish teams have not fared well outside the country, but in Enonu Stadium in Istanbul, the place becomes like a celebration of all things Turkish. No other nation on earth is a patriotic nor as proud as the Turks (my opinion). Within the Turkish leagues (Division 1) the other Istanbul team -- Fenerbahce (which is a section of the city) is actually the best team in the nation right now. Fenerbahce lives in Galatasaray's shadow and resents it. So, Fenerbahce always gets up for the game versus thier rival. Right now, Fenerbahce is undefeated in 8 games so far, I think. The other Istanbul team, Besiktas is no where near as good as the other two. The only team that's really challenged Fenerbahce and G-Tasaray in recent years has been Trabzonspor, which is a strong underdog team which plays up on the Black Sea and has a very solid home record. To my recollection, Trabzon does not play many international matches. The rest of the Turkish teams are pretty lousy. One other thin -- Galatasaray is also known as "CIM BOM" and has an absolutely rabid fan base. There are extremely difficult to beat when playing in Istanbul, as the previous post mentioned.

Toronto:

Yeah, but the trouble is -- G'tasaray is laying like -1000 in the next match (Wed. I think). That's a ton of lead to lay on a team that frankly, COULD get upset at just about any point. Sure, Cim Bom is going to win most likely, but that other team (is it Polish -- I didn't even check) has no business being a 10-1 dog, unless it is second-division.

As for Porto -- why do you like them? I'd like to know more.

When I discovered overseas soccer and all the UK betting sites about three months ago I got the bright idea just like Toronto Vigilante did to try some money line parlays... with huge favorites.

Playing hockey money line if the teams tie you get your wager back. With soccer it's win, lose or tie. Guess how many ties there were with 4, 5 and 6 team parlays?

Well...you don't really want to know.. but trust me. The odds are very good in a 4 or 5 teamer EVEN with all faves that there will either be an upset or a TIE..........Blimey.....or is it Blomey.. this foreign lingo is so confusing.

I gave up that experiment with only a 350 dollar loss over a couple of weeks just screwing around. One more dumb thing that I have tried to check off my list. Bright ideas that don't work.

I appreciate all hard work guys.

One other thought. Now I HAVE included some underdog soccer bets with Canadian football and baseball games and have CASHED! YES

Best of luck to ya'll.

i do know about their opponents though...

Barry Town (against Porto) is a team that hasn't won yet at the qualification rounds level ...i don't wanna say they're horrible, but at this level they haven't performed well yet.

Vllaznia is another team that hasn't performed well at this level and have had a weak showing. ALTHOUGH after looking at some of their matches, there may be a strong point towards a tie in this game, but, Galatasaray is not your normal opponent.

I feel better now after that San Fran fiasco last nite...

RECORD FOR "special" soccer matches...
6-0 11.35 unitz...

how the hell do i keep track of this...?
and can you believe I parlayed Porto and
Galatasaray with AFL collingwood and geelong for another HUGE payout..??

TV, Porto was a very easy game as I told you before. I went to the stadium to watch my team, and they "only" crashed Barry Town. Goals for every styles.

Next wednesday there are the 2nd leg of the games, so stay tunned

I am a very big fan of the Italian league and follow them very closely. I will have writeups when the season starts again. I made about $3000US last year capping these gem games that are out there. To me this is a secret hidden in a forest, and yet the easiest to cap.
