kohler is about an hour drive from Milwaukee. if you can't get a room in kohler, you'd be fine getting a room as far south as North Milwaukee and port Washington and it won't be a bad drive up in there to enjoy the event.

top choice to stay would be The American Club in Kohler. great place.

About an hour south of green bay too. so you could hang out with the packers and scoot down there no issue too.

My father lives a half mile from the course. He has a big house, but my brothers and I and our families will be using all the space.
If you get desperate, he's got a huge barn on his property. :mj07:

Sheboygan isn't very far from the course, either, but not many hotel rooms there and would imagine most will be spoken for by the PGA of America.
Call in 2019 and see what's available ...[emoji41]

standard hotel booking policies are 364 days in advance.

the heads up to getting the rooms you want for the days of the event is to plan to be there a week early and just hang out in town doing random dumb shit and paying for the hotel.
that way, you get to book early, and get the dates that you actually want.

most reservations sites are set to eastern time, if you want to roll the dice and just log on at midnight 1 year in advance to book the rooms.

No way The American Club is available. I would assume that is where the players will be staying? Found a house on VRBO on Lake Michigan that sleeps 8 for 1100 a night? Friend of mine is a big time PGA player so tickets are no problem. Guess best airport is Milwaukee? And redsfann,,My faves growing up was Rose and Bench The big red machine,,,,,That aint right but with this group of old men I am going with a barn may be the best option,,,:scared

I asked my dad if he'd consider renting his house for any of the major tournaments they've hosted at whistling straights-- he's 80 now and he said no way am I messing with that, but if I was 25 years younger he'd be all over it...:mj07:
Yes, Milwaukee closest airport and southwest flies into there so airfare could be fairly cheap depending on where your coming from.
I'm 52 and remember the Big Red Machine of the 70s...
Growing up back then there was no cable tv so I saw the Cubs on Sunday afternoons-- grew up on the mississipppi river in Iowa about 3 hours west of Chicago-- if I was lucky. They and all the rest of the Chicago sports teams were pretty bad then, so I'm a reds and Steelers fan because they were good.
It's 4 years away but if you do make it to Wisconsin for the Ryder Cup I'll buy you a cold one and give you the names of some great hole in the wall taverns to experience some Wisconsin hospitality...:toast:
