Anyone catch the ESPYs?

Heres some questions that ran through my mind while watching the espys

First, Wade is the best NBA player but Lebron get nominated for Best Athlete? I geuss Lebron dominates his bowling league on weekends.

How are all these inspirational moments like Dowd golfing for her dieing mom or the kid with autism(sp?) get mixed with Kobe putting 80 against one of the worst defenses in history and almost losing the game despite of it?

Why does Danika Patrick look so hot on the cover of everything and yet everytime the camera pans to her i cant wait for it to pan off?

Does Lebron think EVERYTHING is funny?

Wait..... Will Ferrel has a movie coming out?!?!?!?!

When did the "Stevie Wonder" look become cool? I have never in my life seen so many dark sunglasses inside....at night......in a dark room.

Who was that lil kid handing the trophies to Matt Lienhart and Vince Young? I mean those guys are what 6'4 6'5? How short is ludacris?

and...... even though they had a night full of questionable choices they finished with the two best picks. I think we all at the very least were moved when we saw the clip of that kid hitting the 3s. That was easily the best moment of the year when the crowd came and picked him up.

And if there is ever going to be a better football game I sure as hell hope I am there watching it because #1 vs #2 was the best game I have ever seen!

Lebron... I can only assume they chose him over DWade because Lebron did almost as much as DWade did with a whole lot less help... Also, who will win it now that Lance Armstrong isnt competing anymore?

I also was shocked to see Kobe grouped in the "Best Moment" as well. Maybe they should have had a "Best Moment" for pros and amateurs... I personally voted for Dakoda, because I couldnt imagine having someone that close to me with a terminal illness, but J-Mac was an extremely close second and I was very glad when he won. They both had touching stories and it was a damn shame both couldnt get it.

Do you think Danica hurt or helped herself by "shaking her moneymaker" on TV like that? I personally didn't mind it, and I hope it didnt her her one bit.

I may be a little biased, but even if I wasn't, the '06 Rose Bowl will still be the second best game. How soon we forget... 2 Touchdown dogs and 2OT in Tempe. Any overtime championship game should be recognized as the greatest.

I was also very moved by the two Afghan soccer players. I couldnt imagine living a life like they do. The image of them executing a woman on the soccer field made me throw up in my mouth a little. I hope all those mult-millionaires in the theater that night will realize what they have and pony up some of that cash to help out sports all over the world.

Also, props to Lance's writers... some of those jokes were great.

i have stopped watching sportscenter a few years ago & have watched the espys the first year they were on (for about 1 hour)...because all they are is self-serving....

He plays in a non real sport and hasn't done shit for a year.

It is often said that music award shows are nothing but infomericals to sell more records (cds, downloads, whatever). The Espys were the same.

Yea, he had his funny moments. But I didnt really like his skits, especially the one with that guy from "the office." And what was with the whole athlete of the year acceptance award? I couldnt tell if that was real or another skit or for real.
