Anyone else bored by Open

I have watched for two days now and have not seen much. Not much penalty in rough. I would prefer more birdies or more blowups. Mickelson"s round was solid, but lacked excitement. Fairway green two putts, I would rather watch the Buick!!

Well......I have the day off and I'm drinking, doing OK on my Plays so it's an OK Open but your right on the no Penalty.

I am still pissed getting sucked in on how tough it was prior to start--but imagine they were not considering no wind.

on the boring issue I am not much of a fan of link style courses.
No trees-water or definition. Every hole looks the same.
Would not care to play those courses as element of luck is too great with mounds and mogals. Players can hit within a yard of each other and depending which side of mound they hit it can be great shot or terrible shot. I will say that imagination on shots does come into play more which is good.

I like idea of having 2 distinct styles of Opens between U.S and British and what we get this year is a mini British here and the real deal in Europe.
