They cancelled my return flight from Cancun at 4am Tuesday. Got a couple of flights on United and got home. Put in for a refund, we'll see how that goes.....
Anyone else get screwed by Southwest?

We were close to getting stuck in Orlando Saturday night on our way back from Montego Bay. They were cancelling flights left and right. Our flight was supposed to leave at 6:30p but we didn't actually leave until 11:30p. They were short flight attendants but were able to scrounge two up so we ended up getting home. If they would have cancelled, who knows how long it would have taken us to get back.
Even though we made it home, SWA sent me $100 voucher for the hassle. Hopefully they do better than that for you, Bob.

Glad it wasn't too bad Gary. Thing is they didn't try to rebook they just left everyone there.

You will get your refund. I did during the covid shit instead of a credit. I still hate all airlines. It won't take long either.
I hate that the airlines LIE about what the real problem is. SWA has serious problems with their computer systems.

A newly wed couple from Wisconsin missed out on their non-refundable honeymoon cruise due to their canceled Southwest flight.....but it gets worse......this couple is FROM Wisconsin.
On the Monday after Christmas Day, the couple flew to Nashville, where they then waited for word on their Southwest Airlines connecting flight. The Grasenicks cooled their heels for hours before they learned that the flight was canceled and there was no other way to reach Fort Lauderdale in time for their honeymoon cruise. The pair had no choice but to make the long drive back home.
I don't think there isn't anywhere else I would rather be even though I hate the Packers. . Plus I can handle an ice shack in the winter.
I can't understand why you guys would live in the 2nd coldest state with the nation's highest suicide rate. It just seems absolutely miserable.
Didn’t realize it was the nations highest suicide rate. Its getting warmer lol. I mean it’s all relative, I can understand, people who weren’t raised here would
avoid the cold and trust me there are blocks of winter I wish I was gone. We got 2 feet of snow 2 weeks ago that was a lot of work to move off the deck and then have it removed from the roof so then the deck had to be done again lol, cursing at every shoveling motion. Then followed with -10 temps for about a week but now it’s in the mid 30s and feels wonderful. Don’t know how to explain it. Up north where I live we have sandy bottom lake after sandy bottom lake. No water moccasins, no recluse spiders, no poisonous snakes, no gators, no possums.. just mosquitos. Northern Wisconsin is much different than southern.. we have far less people. Less violent crime and is much colder and snowy. I live in Solon Springs which is about 500 people. We have 5 bars/restraunts, hardware, dollar store, NAPA, and gas station. Next town is 7 miles away and they have about the same. Where I live 24/7 is where people come to vacation cause we are surrounded with lakes and trails.. kind of funny how many friends I have made that I won’t see til may who are in florida now or went back to chicago or Minneapolis for the winter.
