the Penn State/Illinois game?
At about 11:45 last night I wrote down the overnight lines on all the games from OLYMPIC as I do each night to compare with the afternoon lines and saw Illinois at-19.5 last night and currently at -22.5. This kind of suprised me as I thought 19.5 was alot. so I checked into the game and noticed that Penn St. is 6-4 ats on the road this year and 4 times they were getting 20 or more points they are a perfect
4-0 ats in those games. I am concerned about some of there lackluster road efforts such as
losing by 23@bc
losing by 30@ pitt
losing by 19@ohio st
losing by 24@minny
losing by 17@iowa
not to mention a couple of real bad home losses mixed in too
Illinois on the other hand hasn't been playing well at all and is extremely inconsistent, in there last 7 games they have scored over 70 points only once. certainly not what you want when when laying 22.5
I would really love to play Penn State here more so a play against an underachieving Illinois team but someone dumped a ton of cash to move this line 3 full points since last night.
Any input out there regarding this game would love to here it?

their last couple of game seem to be playing better
but I still believe their not running on all eight cyclinders.

I'm not playing the game but'taking into consideration
Ill ability to play less than par ball take the 20pts.

PS Ive been 48% in the last few weeks so don't put much weight in to my thoughts:shrug:

Illinois has been disappointing, maybe there problem is that they only have 6 cylinders and are running on 4? Maybe they just aren't a good team, I don't know.
It's hard to look past Penn State's record when getting 20 or more points, it seems this is when they play best, although they lost all four games CAL only beat them by 3 giving 20 and they lost to Temple by 12 and Indiana by 7, Iowa did beat them by 17 giving 20.5 but its still a perfect 4-0 spread record in these situations. I'm sure the kids know the spread and maybe they play harder when nobody gives them a shot. I haven't played it yet but getting closer.

PSU Plus the points

I have been following PSU all year and they continue to get

better and better as their confidence grows with each game.

They beat Purdue and Iowa at home and have played Wisconsin

and Indiana tough. Twenty two points seem like a gift as I have

Iowa winning by 15-17 points. GL

Theyve lost 11 of their last 14 and have won one game away from home all year. And after the two wins you mention (Iowa and Purdue) they lost to FREAKING NORTHWESTERN. Confidence can't be too high. 22 points seems like a lot but thats how bad PSU is.

I follow this Illinois team very close, and this scrappy Penn State team will come to play. I just dont like this play on Illinois for tonight. Illinois could be looking past this game for the Indiana match up on the 26th. My money stays in my pocket on this game...
