Michael Jackson to Address MDP Shareholders in a Videotaped Message

09:01 EDT Tuesday, April 09, 2002

MONTREAL, April 9 /CNW/ - Legendary entertainer Michael Jackson will address the shareholders of MDP Worldwide Entertainment, Inc. in a videotaped message at the Annual Shareholders Meeting to take place on Friday, April 12, 2002 in Montreal . Neverland, an entity co-headed by Michael Jackson and film producer Raju Sharad Patel announced recently that they had signed an agreement with MDP Worldwide Entertainment, Inc. to enter into a proposed investment and partnership for MDP's future film production. In his videotaped address to the MDP shareholders, Mr. Jackson will explain his vision and his plans for the type of feature film product that he hopes to produce under the Neverland banner.

The closing of the transaction with Jackson is subject to definitive documentation, due diligence and customary regulatory and other approvals. With the investment by Neverland, MDP will operate a new division that will be the production arm of MDP, and all feature films produced will carry the Neverland banner. Prior to the announcement of Michael Jackson's involvement with the Company, MDP reported its highest net profits in its history showing operating revenues for the fiscal year 2001 of $53.6m and a net income of $5.5m.

MDP has been rapidly expanding its production and distribution slate and has most recently acquired international rights to the poignant drama "The United States of Leland" which was directed by Matthew Ryan Hoge and produced by Kevin Spacey, Bernie Morris, Jonah Smith and Palmer West. The film, which is currently in post production, features Ryan Gosling, Don Cheadle, Chris Klein, Lena Olin, Michelle Williams, Jena Malone and Kevin Spacey. MDP most recently distributed the action adventure film "The Musketeer", directed by Peter Hyams, this past September that debuted No. 1 at the North American box office for Universal Pictures. MDP is also currently handling worldwide distribution for the extreme sports action film "The Extremists", directed by Christian Duguay, which will be released later this year in the United States through Paramount Pictures and the cyber-horror thriller "Fear.com" directed by William Malone, which will be released in the U.S. through Warner Bros. Both feature films are in the final stages of completion.

here are some results, good luck sniper what ever you decide. would discount the news of film distribution and see if they can produce profitable programming.

I generally stay away from the entertainment sector, do not understand it. however good luck with what ever you decide.

close .17 high .445 low .015

very low volume around 10K-15K daily.

note: one another note be carefull of Junior gold companies, they are some new ones that are being formed with the recent gold surge that are pure garbage.

had someone call me and told me after two drill holes they were 98% sure they found a mine, and on the scale of the next Hemlo. these stocks are worth avoiding unless you want to have a short candidate in the future.

thanks
