purchasing some high-end house speakers. I talked to Jack and he said it would be okay to post on here. Madjacksports is NOT involved in anyway.

Pioneer Elite TZ-F700 Speakers. MSRP is $3500 US. They are a month old. Only available for pickup. Too big to ship. Speakers are unavailable in Canada. I bought them in the US and brought them back for resale. Best sounding speakers I have heard. See pioneerelectronics.com (USA)for picture under Elite home electronics.Details below

TZ-F700 TZ-700 System Front Speaker

With its elegantly slim profile, the TZ-F700 integrates easily into living environments. The seven-ply, high-density multi-laminate cabinet features extremely rigid aircraft-type construction to reduce resonance. The four-way design improves definition and articulation by limiting the range of reproduction required by each transducer. In addition, the powered bass section with its PSBASH amplifier produces accurate bass, improves overall efficiency and reduces strain on system electronics.

Way out West, sorry I'm not interested in your speakers.

However, I just returned home from a nice trip to Vancouver. I really liked the city. My wife used to live there and graduated from SFU. She would love to buy a second home up there.

From your viewpoint, do you like living in Vancouver? Can you take a minute to name some things you like and dislike about the city? Most importantly, can I get Directv or any sports packages up there? I swear I didn't see any dishes. ;(

BTW, we currently live in L.A. and we are very happy here.

Thanks for your time and good luck with the sale.

Hey EMJ32,

I was born and raised in Vancouver, I'm 28 years old and lived here all my life.

During the winter months, we have the best skiing in North America with Whistler/Blackcomb only 1.5 hours away with local skiing only 25 minutes away. In the city during the winter months, we hardly get any snow, the only downfall would be the rain which actually hasn't been that bad this year. In my opinion, I will take the mild winters with the rain over a winter that is -20 below. Rarely goes below freezing here. During the summer months as for activities, with the mountains so close, you can do just about anything, go to beach, or Stanley park which is beautiful, we have world famous Wreck beach, clothing optional, Capilano suspension bridge. Mountain biking, canoeing, windsurfing, sailing, golf, camping, etc. Theatre under the stars , children's festival, fireworks festival where 3 countries compete. We have the Molson Indy CART series, and PgaTour Air Canada Championship, we did lose our basketball team, but have the Vancouver Canucks and BC Lions and we are only a 2 hour drive to Seattle if you want to see the Seahawks or Mariners. We have world class restaurants to meet everybody's taste and are one of the most beautiful cities in the world.

As for the negative, it does rain here a lot. We have a high income tax rate here which wouldn't be a problem for you, as for property tax, I don't know how that would compare to where you live, Contraband is taxed heavily here also. Booze, cigarettes, and gas are expensive. A case of 12 beer of Budweiser for example would cost $20.00 CAD or $13.00 US. Car insurance is high in BC because it is monopolized by the Government. On average about $1500 CAD a year on a half decent vehicle with good coverage.

We do satelite systems available that have packages available for NFL,etc. As for the DirectTV, it is not allowed in Canada legally because it carries US programming and our regulations require a large percentage of our programming to be Canadian based. But I know some people that have DirectTV in Vancouver, if you know what I mean.

If you have any other questions, let me know?
Anyone reading this, if you ever get the chance to come to Vancouver, do, it really is beautiful.

As a fellow vancouverite, whose been all over the planet, from late spring to mid
fall Vancouver is THE nicest city in the
world.

Just finished marshalling on the driving
range at the ACC and the impression to a man from the professional golfers who've not
seen the city before is one of sheer
amazement. One look and they start thinking of
buying a house here.

One downside the previous poster ommitted is
the congestion created by the very poor drivers on our streets. This is not racially
motivated but based in reality. We have a very
large Asian community,if fact I've been told
that Vancouver is the only major city in N.
America that has had a change in the majority
becoming the minority and vicaversa.

Anyways thousands upon thousands of Asians obtained drivers liscences fraudulently and
the scam was exposed, resulting in total chaos
and some road rage.

I was also born here so I just take back roads but the main avenues are unbearable to
navigate.

I want to thank you both for your time in replying to my questions. I really enjoyed my visit to your fine city. We had dinner at The Tea House in Stanley Park which was excellent. The next day we did the 6 mile run around the entire park.

Cash, I must admit that I didn't like the traffic and crowds. I was amazed and annoyed at the fact that most of the intersections don't have separate left turn lanes. The downtown traffic was real bad. My wife says that's why many people just walk to their destinations if reasonably close.

You guys have a nice city. I'm going to have to come up a few more times before I consider buying something.

Thanks again!!!
