Anyone in upstate NY??????

There is a new supermarket that is going in down here in the Philly area called Wegman's, that is apparently from the Rochester area. I put in my application to work there as a supervisor and dont really know what to expect from this company, which is apparently is the 10th best company to work for in the USA, voted by Forbes Magazine.....Please let me know anything about this company...Thanks in advance.

oh sh*t dude! we have a Wegmans here in state college and it is the creme de la creme of the grocery store chains. The place is like the Gap Clothes of the food/supermarket industry.
Its a great place to work for/with and they have a great name in the NY/PA area and are growing slowly but surely.

Great place to work for if you can get in as Wegmans will go nowhere but upwards in their quality of selection and economic prices, and customer service.
(I know, i sound like a damn commercial)
But their deli/meat/seafood department is the best of any supermarket i have ever seen.

Never thought I would see a thread that hits so close to home.
I live 5 minutes from their HQ. We have over 20 of them here in Rochester and I do alot of business-inventory with the stores and their RXs.
What do you want to know specifically??
What position are you applying for??

I've just heard very good things about them and I dont want to go into this job expecting the best company in the industry and 6 months in realize it was a ton of crap. I am going to be a suervisor on the front end. Any info appreciated.
