No, I havent gone to the dark side to get my plays, (never will again :D) but I have a buddy at work that just refuses to listen to me and do the researching and handicapping himself, and would rather just pay a service to give him plays in football. So he has asked me if I knew of any pay services that are really good in football? I personally dont have a clue since I do all of mine myself. Anyone have any ideas of some top services for football I can give him? Any monitoring services I can go to to see some records? Thanks fellas.........

tell him to play someone on here for free......plenty of guys to follow who win......easy to research......several guys on here are better than any pay service.....why pay for it???

only thing a pay service is, is an opinion you pay for.....nothing more, nothing less.....some people have more success than others -- some are better handicappers, some are better marketers.....trying to distinguish between the two is next to futile......

everyone in gambling has an agenda....that does not mean that everyone is dishonest, but i don't think that it is a reach to say that a majority are -- including "monitoring" services.....

if you are really his friend, you should inform this guy best you can and then let him make his own decision......plenty of guys on here share all their games and thoughts and do not withhold information but share it freely.....best idea if you are going to just blindly follow someone is to follow someone with no agenda....then you will know exactly what you are getting, and you are getting it for free and do not have any obligation to place a bet if for some reason you do not want to.....

Okay, I'm with all of you on the tout svcs vs. doing it yourself and following this site.
But, THE QUESTION IS if anyone knows the top pay sites, or where to check some out. If a person wants to know this, why does he have to get these comments versus a straight answer.
BTW, UT,,I recommend Fletcher (gambler's data) or Raymond's Outlaw Sports.
Sometimes folks want to just purchase and go with it. FINE!
GLTA this week!

For what it is worth, Gamblersdata.com has been extremely profitable for baseball this season, winning about 75% of weeks available. It is too early in the football season to evaluate, but it looks pretty good so far.

Thank you. You get the same comments everytime eventhough you never asked for them. You can't be surprised though since the point of why good business men & women maximize their profits anyway possible & selling them is just another way flies over most heads.

Big Joe, et al - He asked for the top pay sites and you are upset when we recommend one? That is assinine! How to you expect to find an accurate rating of the top pay services? There are only a few monitors that are on the up and up and even they will tell you that they don't monitor everybody. It is NOT POSSIBLE to find enough accurate information on all services to come up with the top three, five, ten or whatever. I defy anyone to prove this wrong. The only possible way to do this would be if one non-baised monitor got all the picks in advance of EVERY single service. This is not going to happen. Word of mouth is something to strongly consider in trying to find an answer to this question. So, you want an answer "does anyone know the top pay sites, .." The answer is absolutely NO. No one knows. I am not a semanticist, but it was then asked "where to check some out" which would lead me to look for answers from those who have used pay sites." Of course, maybe I am just an idiot and can't understand the English language as well as others in this thread. Or maybe he would get a more accurate answer by reading the ads in one of Mike Warren's publications. I sure you can find all the best sites there, including the ones that hit 80%. Forgive me for providing an answer to his desire to find out "where to check some out." Maybe I should have posted Stu Feiner's phone number of Jim Feists web site.

ferdville, I totally agree with you.
My comment was relating to the comments about doing it yourself. I don't have any problem with checking out pay services and I think asking the question on this forum is a smart thing to
do.
And, as of my first post above, there were no recommendations yet, and that is what he wanted.
Many of us have experiences with some and there's always good and bad.
But, this question usually invokes the usually responses of "doing it yourself", which many, including me, have tried and are not good at it,,,so, if someone wants to join a service, give it a try and let all of us know how it goes.

Have him check out the Gold Sheet, it's a good place to get a start and they're a reputable outfit although their service is high if you ask me. Most of the monitor services are full of crap if you ask me, they let the same company post different bags of plays thereby allowing them to come up with something that looks good. Hopefully when MJ gets some of the pay sites posting at bestbettor then we'll have an honest monitor.

I have personally dealt with several reputable services over the years and you can ask MJ for my addy and I'll share that info with you if you like. I don't think there is a 'best' when you get right down to it, they all have good years and bad. If someone wants the comfort of paying for picks then they need ease of use and personal service really along with some good picks. I had a guy once who was great but he never released a pick until 5 minutes before game time because he didn't want it all over the net and that made it damn near impossible to get the play in on time.

I don't use pay services any more personally, unless you're really playing large AND your service does well it's hard to justify the cost.

Tell him to play contrarian picks of Madjack.....Sorry Mj, but your posted football record speaks for itself.:D

He's also about $15G ahead throughout the year in his FREE pick section. . . and still you bitch. Go ahead and fade his picks for the rest of the season and see where you end up or maybe go ahead and put up your picks since you can do so much better. Ingrate!!:gf:

Devilspicks is something like 18-1 or 18-2. There's some other guys out there having a good season too, but investigate before you spend any green stuff.

Okay, I'm putting in my two cents....American Sports Analysts....I like these guys and yes, they do recommend us as a sports book.

I have three of their handicapping magazines left if anyone is interested. E-mail me at marketing@thegreek.com and I'll be happy to mail you one...and NO, I will not put you on some crazy mass mail list where I will spam you regularly! First come, first serve....wish I had more.

I like asawins.com because they have been very honest with us and unfortunately (from a bookmakers perspective) they seem to be pretty good at what they do. This is a female intuition thing based on conversations and business relationships with them, nothing more.

Also, anyone that needs an October schedule book (from Olympic), send me your address and I'll send you a book. Olympic's book is unique because it is NOT loaded with ads, it carries all events for the month instead of "by sport" and our grids are bigger. Try one, you'll like it! And again, I will NOT put you on a list.....but if you want the book for more than October, let me know and I'll put you on the "book list" only.

Olympic DOES NOT spam or do mass e-mail marketing. The list I maintain is only for requested information.

Have a good night all!

The best of the best you dont see advertised. They dont need to sell anything. The best of the best may not be that good in all sports. Many can handle two sports at the most. Your real best of the beat dont go jumping on 10 or 15 picks every weekend. I know it's hard for a service not to give out alot of picks because the customer wants tons of info. Lets take Fletcher. Fletch gives out his best picks what ever the number is to his paying customers. This is only the right thing to do. Then Fletch place some darn good comp plays here. But don't matter how many he puts up. Folks are asking about more and more games. People have to learn unless your lucker then all hell. The more games you play the more you may loose. They Should just play the 4 or 5 comp plays and let it go at that. Or as said above do your own work.

i tend to agree with djv. i would guess that the best may be known, but certainly don't advertise in all the usual places. of course, there is some guy that I keep hearing on the radio in so cal. he says he hits at an 85% clip. interesting, since he has stayed at that 85% rate from week one!!!! the real jerks like this one are good for a laugh.
