also, Oswalt was a little shaky in last start due to bad footing on the mound (rain)....he siad he didn't have control of his stuff all night -- lots of it rode in over the plate.....

FWIW I like the Astros and the under tonight....pending on ump info....

whaddya know.....put the Astros up against a good pitcher and you get 1 run and 3 hits.....put them up against sh+t and you get 17 runs.....same ol same ol......

should be 1-0 if Richard Hidalgo wasn't pulling a plow out there in right field....the "double" in the 3rd should have been a routine out for any outfielder who could run a 40 under 6 seconds....unreal....fattest outfield in the history of the game

john hirschbeck will be behind the plate in tomorrow night's game between these two teams. williams 3.12 era over 8.1 innings lifetime vs houston, reynolds 3.22 era over 128.2 innings lifetime vs pitt. with a 9- total, looks like a pretty attractive under play again.

where do you get the ump info so early? -- do they rotate around the horn? -- i know that in most cases home plate goes to 3rd for "night off" -- but was wondering if they just usually or always rotate.....

also, i checked the weather and wind will be blowing in from left again.....

freeze, that is the case almost always--first base ump rotates to home plate, home plate ump goes to 3rd, etc etc--gsp mentioned the other day that sometimes if there is a 4 game series, a new crew might come in for the 4th game, but i dont know how often that happens--by the way, best pitching matchup on friday could very well be in New Orleans as Wade Miller and Mark Prior are the expected starters there tomorrow night--anyone that lives in The Big Easy should check that one out, definitely one of the better games you'd get to see there--
