I used to live within about an hour of there. Nice place to go for a little getaway. Great, Great golf course there if you like to play. Opened about 3 years ago I think. Casino is fairly new also I believe. But Schouest is right, it is in the middle of nowhere. If you need to, Google or Mapquest Kindred, LA. Hope this helps, let me know if you need any more info. Close but no prize. You are looking for Kinder, LA. :) I've been there a couple of times and always enjoy it.

PS, if you throw up in the casino bathroom from drinking too much, move quickly because it takes security about 4 minutes to show up for your escort. :wall:

Would you guys suggest Isle of Capri in Lake Charles over Coushatta. I have heard Coushatta is much nicer, and is only about 45 minutes past Lake Charles coming from Texas.

Thanks for the help.

Kinder is right, sorry. I went to Isle much much more just because it was so much closer to Beaumont. But, Coushatta is much nicer in my opinion, and plus the fact the Isle always seemed like a retirement home whenever I was there. If you were going for a weekend, my pick would be Coushatta. Best of luck to ya, JP

Thanks for the help. Coushatta it is to play in a $200 NL tourney. I have never played poker in a casino, so it will be interesting to try. Top ten pays, and it is only open to first 100 people.

I used to play in those quite often. Buddy and I would play real tight for the first couple of hours, and then when the number of people shrunk down, we would play a little more aggressively, best of luck to you. Jp

How is the play for the most part at the tables? How long do they usually last? How do you usually do there? Many questions. Thanks for the help.

Im only about 45 mins from Coushatta and i go there often. I would easily recommend it over Lake Charles as it is much nicer in almost all aspects. I play poker there and the play on the whole is avg at best, definately some money to be made if you hit a bit of a run or simply play a good stretch of solid poker. I've always enjoyed it in kinder and was always well taken care of service wise. Best of Luck in the poker tourny and hope you enjoy the trip.

P.S.

The golf course is excellent.

What do you think I would need to play to get my room comped while there, although it is only $45 per night as it is. Thanks again for the help.
