I have a lot of music recorded on my phone and tablet and such. I was looking through it and have a lot of 60s, 70s stuff on there that I still listen to often. Blue Oyster Cult, Uriah Heep, UFO, Ten Years After, Amboy Dukes, Montrose, and I do have a lot of the old alternative stuff as well. Iggy Pop, Soiuxsie and the Banshees, the Cure, Bauhaus, P.I.L., Sex Pistols, etc...
I do listen to a lot of new music as well and do see a lot of live music, at least I've been told that and I do go to 5-7 shows a month but they are usually smaller venues.
Anyway, was just curious as to others musical taates and habits. I know the favorite band thing has been covered pretty well so not asking that exactly.

Yeah I saw that and she kicked ass that audition.

Newer music I'll listen to just about anything from Jay-Z, NWA, Eminem, to Lady Gaga, Adele, etc... I've been listening to nathaniel Ratcliffe, uncle lucious, lcd soundsystem, Lake Street Dive are some of the last bands I've seen

Don't listen to music near as much as I did when I was younger. I have an old cassette tape collection and cd's that could sink a ship....lol. I still will crank it up when AC/DC comes on the radio. So many great bands from my teenage years that I couldn't even begin to list them all. KISS, Def Leppard, Whitesnake, ZZ Top, Foghat, 38 Special, Poison, BTO, Reo Speedwaggon, On and on and on....

i listen to alice cooper, stones ect
I had to laugh the other day, I was scrolling through all these songs and for some reason I have it in my head that I wanted to hear My Generation by the Who and then Season of the Witch by Donovan. After that it was straight shuffle but it just struck funny.

She's not as old as some of the artists mentioned here but she's old school and rocks. Great outside festival act. Seen her 3 times.

My timing to check out the forum is x.

Early Scorpions, I thought you were talking about Michael Schenker or Uli Jon Roth Scorpions:

<iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/mHTHtu9vPJM" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Following's been my fave BOC tune since before I can remember...nevermind...I forget...

<iframe width="420" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/rFXXQYPB8A0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

love that freakin's song...saw these guys play Live Wire (a bar) in Calgary, circa late 80's if memory
whatevas

If you dig Iggy you must like the Stooges work, this one from 1970's Fun House:

<iframe width="420" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/zxYXV2RrwIs" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Montrose's '73 disc doesn't jam me like it did when first heard, some whatevas years ago (mid-80's),
but it remains a classic to my jaded eyes and love the rock-down on the following:

<iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/dRZMy4sBS8Q" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

(best copy of the 3 I saw...sheesh..shit Q or are my ears lagging?)

As for your inquiry, I'm spending tons of lifetime on the newer stuff; I still love the 70's as an ultimate
decade for tunes (PF,Zep,early Rush ad absurdum forces my hand), but after that my vote is for sometime
between 2000 and now, perhaps the past decade. I've become a real sucker for cool, trippy,
instrumental stuff and I could easily suggest 100 tunes off the top of my head to prove my point.

Gonna try 5, due to lack of space or brain cells:

<iframe width="420" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/-C-NjMKbxwo" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

<iframe width="420" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/J7GLFa7kv9o" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

<iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/_6r5pgxAwS4" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

<iframe width="420" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/49vIqK69Dig" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

<iframe width="420" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/Kg8bRmGXUsU" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Some of these are not perfect quality (go figure). And, yes, one non-instrumental.

I was going to ask, in the forum, if anybody uses or is a member of progarchives.com. I signed up there in
February; aside from a few former facebook farts, progarchives in the only other forum I've ever really
joined outside of here. Too freakin' busy listening to tunes, I guess...

<iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/S2elO8WsB_E" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

<iframe width="420" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/kuJZ2yREOCs" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

youtube music quality blows
Karmic Society was my responsibility so hopefully it's okay

Drop word on style you like or if any above posted are pleasing and I can suggest further.
Love discussing, finding, sharing all tune-related shit, as any former sufferers of my antique posts
can likely attest.

fuck...
