I've had this game capped at a pick 'em since last night. So, I'm confused on why everyone is giving Arkansas too much credit in their lines.
The line opened at Stardust at -5 and has only moved half a point there to -4.5 at last check a couple of hours ago. I trust their line moves much more than I do the ones you see at the tout sites like scoresandodds. I use 5 to 8 points off as a guideline, and yes, I don't consider a pk to -5 as 5 points off. It's 4 points off in my twisted way of thinking.
I started out last night thinking that Vegas was trying to draw Missouri St money by inflating the line. In fact, if Stardust's lines had opened at anywhere from 6 to about 9, I would have probably hammered Arkansas. As it is, it's a no play for me which is good. I'm a Hog fan and don't like betting their games because I'm pissed when they're favored and win but don't cover and want to swallow a bullet when they are the dog and lose and don't cover.
And yes, I've adopted my own version of Billy Blastoff's system in my capping, but I use a different number source and cross check with Stardust line moves. Using this, I've gone (not posted on this web site but another) 21-5 in actual played games and 25-8 in all picked games since Monday, December 5.
It's because of the info on this site and another that I've been able to figure this stuff out. The cappers on this site are outstanding and good at sharing the secrets with guys like me who haven't been playing that long.
