Wondering if anyone out there has tried out the MLB.TV at MLB.com?? Runs about 80 bucks per season or 15 bucks a month.

I have the baseball package on the dish, so I probably won't be using that, but was curious if anyone's watched any of the "free view" games this spring? Just wondering how the quality is and your thoughts.

I tried it last wednesday when the cards were playing the braves.....i was very surprised how good the quality was....the only thing i dont know is how long of a delay it is.....if its faster to go to cbssportsline for the quick updates. But the quality was surprising to me

it wasn't bad(a little grainy, but sound seemed to be almost real time) if that is someone's only option....i'd rather spend my money on mlb extra innings though(of course i don't have digital cable or direct tv, but if i did...)

Have the MLB extra innings, and just watched parts of a couple archived games from mlb.tv and agree...I was pretty impressed with the quality. The question is does the quality get worse during the real season with all the extra people watching at the same time???

Also, the problem I have with extra innings, is that 3 teams are always blacked out in this area, but I seen black out restrictions apply for that service as well....plus there's very few games on MLB extra innings on the weekends.

Thanks for the comments on this.

I've never used Extra Innings, so I have a couple questions? First, how much is it for the season? And second, why aren't there many games shown on the weekends? Is there any specific reason?

bjfinste.....extra innings runs $129 for the season for the early bird price.

As for the weekends, something with fox and/or espn having exclusive rights for all day games on Saturday was there reasoning. They did however have several night games televised on Saturday. Sunday was basically the same reasoning......I don't think I recall them having any games televised on Sunday at least last season.....don't know about this year.
