Anyone try this? Free iPod ...

My friend sent me a link to a website that gives you a free apple ipod if you sign up for one of several free trial's and get five other people to do so. His friend at school did it and already received his free ipod.

I am always skeptical when it comes to stuff like this and never take part in it, but I'm wondering if anyone here has done it and tried it. I signed up for the free blockbuster video trial so that my friend gets me as a referral. I get two free weeks of blockbusted movies (their version of netflix) and then I cancel if I want and pay nothing.

If anyone is knows if this works please let me know. Also if anyone would like to see the site, just send me an email. You can check it out for yourself and if you're interested you can help me out, maybe between us we can get some free ipods.

I didnt post the link cause I'm not sure what the rules are regarding that. If I am allowed to post it, let me know and I will.

It's a scam. I wouldn't go for it, they try to make you take trial offers on the products just to get the ipod then charge your credit card excessive fees for the trial offers. Don't do it.

Actually what I did was sing up for one of the other offers. I signed up for ebay, bid on an item to become the high bidder and got credit. SOmeone has outbid me so I'm off the hook on the auction.

I did some research and apparantly the site that gives away the ipods gets commission by sending people to these other sites.

The way I see it, as long as it doesnt cost me anything I'll give it a shot.

I only need two more refrences and should fullfill my requirements by the end of the week. I will get back to you guys and let you know if it worked.

Dont understand how I'm a sucker if I'm not spending any money. Either it works or it doesn't.

Let this thread die, I'll bring it back up in 2 months to let you know if it worked.
