I wouldn't have voted for either Olson (terrible tragedy, but to me, that shouldn't have factored into the voting), or Williams, but definietly would have voted for them before Matt Doherty. Took over a Final Four team from last year and did pretty much what was expected during the regular season, then folded in the NCAA tournament. What was so special about his coaching job this year?? Eustachy was second, which I have no problem with, but how about Skinner from BC or Evans from Miss? Both easily did better coaching jobs this season than Doherty.

I've been watching Ole Miss all year and I'd have to give it to Barnes. We were picked last in the SEC West but came out on top, finished with our best record ever, and went to either our first sweet sixteen or at least the first in recent memory. We also had a lot of new and young players that Barnes did a great job with. He had them playing great defense and it was probably the most unselfish team in the SEC.

Just because he's there every year shouldn't keep Coach K from being mentioned.
