The only thing that is shocking is that there isn't a Congo Line ready to french kiss Hayward, but I'm sure Barry and Rahm did that once the cameras were off?

This is surprising like, not at all. In addition to the fact that they?re just protecting their Sugar Daddy, it?s easy to understand Republicans? motivations here.

It?s a public company vs. the federal government. Strike one.

It?s an oil company vs. the federal government. Strike two.

And it?s an entity of any kind vs. Obama. Yer out.

When you think about it, it?s kind of surprising that most Republicans haven?t joined the Taliban by now. Oh wait?

Only a Big Oil sockpuppet like Joe Barton would apologize to BP for the President of the United States holding them accountable for their recklessness. By the time this epic envionmental disaster's over, $20 Billion will seem like the best deal since the Louisiana Purchase. No one knows that more than BP, which is why they didn't even balk at that figure.

I might add that now that we know how dangerous deepwater oil drilling is, ALL Oil Companies who engage in deepwater drilling in U.S. coastal waters should be forced to put up a $20 Billion bond to cover the cleanup of catastrophic events like this. Either that, or we shut'em down.

He knows where his bread is buttered.

thast why neocon right wing nuts cannot be trusted making decisions on anything .

They got the big lobby people still eating their lunch. Hard to imagine he would apologize for BP
basically destroying the Gulf for many years to come.

what a dumb ass

The ties that bind. Remember Rahm Emanuel's rent-free D.C. apartment? The owner: A BP adviser[/COLOR]

In case you were tempted to buy the faux Washington outrage at BP and its gulf oil spill in recent days, here's a story that reveals a little-known corporate political connection and the quiet way the inner political circles intersect, protect and care for one another in the nation's capital. And Chicago.

We already knew that BP and its folks were significant contributors to the record $750-million war chest of Barack Obama's 2007-08 campaign.

Now, we learn the details of a connection of Rahm Emanuel, the Chicago mayoral wannabe, current Obama chief of staff, ex-representative, ex-Clinton money man and ex-Windy City political machine go-fer.

I don't see George Bushes finger prints on this one.

George's finger prints are on Rahms rent free Apartment?

Draw a map for this one Beck Jr.

What is your point? That BP gave Rahms a free apartment and Bush was not involved in that? I will grant you that. Bush also was not involved in Sonny and Cher's daughter changing sexes.

What is your overall point?

The point being that Gee Wiz seems to get blamed for every turd that lands on O'Soetoro's plate.

It's like blaming a fart on the dog.

well he is to blame for most of the crap we find ourselves in. I start a post that has nothing to do with Bush and you counter with a link to something that nobody is talking about and say that Bush had nothing to do with that. Well Whoop de do! Ok I concide Bush had nothing to do with that crook Rahms living arrangements but apparently BP did.

Happy?
