Upstairs watching sports on the big TV.
Yeah, I know.....
"DeadMoney?? you went to a superhero movie??"

I was raised on DC comics.....my weekly dime allowance (1960) bought a Superman, Batman, Superboy, occasional Jimmy Olsen comic.

I would stand at the news stand and quick read for free the Aquaman, Flash, Green Lantern....not worthy of my dime.

THE MOVIE...short version

Aquaman's origin was thoroughly explored....his father of the land, and a mother of the sea (An Atlantis Princess) his childhood name is Arthur.

Mom is called back to the sea, dad is forlorn.

Arthur is the Bastard King, a huge undersea battle for the ocean throne ensues.

Along the way, he creates an adversary, Black Manta.

He begins a quest for the True Kings Golden Trident.

I liked the special underwater effects.....worthy of the big screen.....in the comics Aquaman was lame.
DC did a good job beefing up his character and making it mildly entertaining by not taking it seriously, it had a lite comic edge to it.

Superhero movies generally are not my thing, did this one more for nostalgia.
