Hey what part of Scottsdale are you from. I lived there for 3 years. (1977-1980) Was just a kid but maybe you know some of the places I went to and hung around.....
Theboundbook,
Actually am from Brooklyn,NY.Moved to Scottsdale in 1992.Live in the Pinnacle Peak section of Scottsdale.Other than restaurants don't know much where anything is(LOL!).But try me.
Well, I went Navajo elementary school. Live off of Pima road in a neighborhood that had a street named Roma Ave. I use to fish at Chapparal Lake (sp) and there was a Boys Club of America there and they had a "Mighty Mud Mania" day where people crawl and battle through an obstacle course. I belonged to the Pima-Navajo little league in baseball..... There used to be an amusement park that had deaths alot there too..... Can't remember the name; may not be in Scottsdale, maybe Pho. Any of this ring a bell?
P.S. Spent some time in Scarsdale NY with Grandparents years ago too. How's Brooklyn?
Mud Mania is now at a park on McDonald & Hayden.About 2-3 years ago,Boys Club opened up a brand new place in Scottsdale on ViaLinda & 100th St.(?).Haven't been there but I heard it is rather large & pretty nice.Although it is now politically correct & called Boys & Girls Club.
Haven't been back to Brooklyn in sometime. But I have spoken to old friends who still live there & tell me that I wouldn't recognize it because of all of the changes.I guess that is typical with a lot of cities on the east coast. If you are interested, Brooklyn has a web site....www.brooklynonline.com
I hear salt Lake City is a nice place.Always wanted to visit their but haven't had the chance.I guess I will add it the list of places to visit.
Cool; If you make it out here I'll show ya around.... Sportsbars, flyfishing, skiing, Park City..... Whatever.. Sundance Film Fest is always a good time!
