COLORADO+8 IN VEGAS TAKE THE +7.5 OR 7 OFFSHORE. 4*
Colorado is a team that did nto win 1 home game last year and made wholesale changes as did both teams. these 2 teams held 2 scrimmage games in lv jan 22 and the 23 neither really showed their hand knowing that they would be opening up against each other.
The crush brought in head coach Mike Dailey for the former Bob Beers infact they had to trade 3 players to Indiana to get him his over all rec in arena ball is 63-46 in the 7 years as a head coach. The crush only brought back 5 players from last years team who went 2-14 0-8 at home. the crush did manage to keep 2 very key players on off, Damian Harrell he is they offensive specialist and a solid qb in John Dutton who lit up the score board at unr for 3 years as a starter I myself thought he would make a nice back up in the nfl but shows how much I know. Dutton was on again off again last year he completed 63% of his passes for almost 4,000 yards had 77 td's and only 19 int's last year. Harrell had close to 1450 yards last year catching 96 passes and 38 td's. the crush and Dailey beefed up their deff in hopes to be able to slow teams down some from last year.
The Gladiators also made many changes from last year most of them on the off side of the ball. The 2 biggest changes were qb Clint Dolezel and off specialist Terrill Shaw, they also have a whole new set of receivers to help out Dolezel. the deff also beefed up by trading for deff specialist Marvin Taylor who should fit in very well with the gladiator deff and their key returning mvp Jeroid Johnson.
With all the wholesale changes by both teams and the crush not winning a home game last year you can bet coach dailey will have his team ready to go for the first game of the year being at home.
The gladiators are a good team who got off to a slow start last year but did go on a run to make the playoffs only to get blowen off the field in the first round by the AZ RATTLERS. The gladiators are 1-0 lifetime against against the Crush winning last year 68-34, I don't think you will see that this year being that you have one of the top coaches in Dailey and the 0-8 record at home last year for the crush, feel they will play this game like it is the championship game , the last thing the crush wants is to open up with a home loss.
On the other hand it could take vegas a few games to gel with so many changes, so I look for a very tough game and would not be shocked if the crush wins this game, they spent a lot of money by arena standerds to improve this team and owner John Elway made it quite clear he would not put up with poor play from the crush like he did last year, so no-one spot on this team is safe and either play well and win or you will be looking for a new job the next week.
Good Luck
