halftime...

not attrractive. germany playing off back foot, big mistake.

2 shots in 1h. ballack had only good shot, header from ballack that went wide and high.

all in all, not much of a game yet.

i think the germans are going to lose 1-0 unless they get a lot more aggressive. they're playing too tentatively, just get in there and use superior size and power to generate a few shots and they'll win. they need to take the game to argentina, just as they did to sweden and poland.

after 1h, we can definitely say game has not lived up to expectations. i think the few days off may figure in that. i hope it will heat up in the 2h.

its hard for them to take it to the argentines, they only have the ball 30% of the time...but you're right this should be a 1-0 game either way...anything can happen still...

yes, arg has had the ball 70%. they haven't got much going for all their possession. they had a couple balls that almost went through, but no real chances. germs aren't aggressive enough on the fifty-fifties, like they're afraid of getting burned.

ger's playing like the ger of old, trying to avoid mistakes. i dont think that will get the job done here.

Seriously, how can the forwards for Arg be so winded? I played soccer until I was 18 and then played basketball in college. How are they not fit?

about 15 minutes of good soccer out of the first 90. the minute ger started attacking, it had all kinds of chances. arg should try to BEAT germany, but it shelled up, and soon enough yielded a goal.

1-1 going to extra time...

this is not a hot day, either. should have been a better game. ger did NOT attack from the start like in the others. the arg header was perfectly placed, how it got by the dude on the line i dont know, might have thought the lehmann was going to get it.

What a conclusion!

Germany's going all the way!

Arg should have kept on the attack, that would have been its best defense after it got up. Kind of sad not to see that Messi in there creating havoc. I don't respect their goalkeeper at all for pupping out and having to be removed. You don't suddenly discovered you're vitally wounded when a free kick comes up.

Decent game, not great, the good guys won.

SWEEEET!

GO GERMANY!!
