Germany and Argentina played twice last year, and both games ended in 2-2 draws. One was played in Nuremberg in the Confederations Cup and the other was a friendly in Duesseldorf.

Germany played both of those games without Ballack and striker Miroslav Klose, both times coming close to winning. Klose is leading the World Cup in goals, with four, and has helped to set up quite a few others. Michael Ballack has had ample time to fully recover from an ankle injury that kept him out of his first game and should be at full strength for this game.

Germany's strategy should be to try and get an early goal and put the pressure on the Argentines to do the same. This has worked well for them as they have scored four of their ten goals in the opening 15 minutes of their matches thus far. Germany also has scored first in seven of their last ten matches. The home fans should help carry a determined German squad past the Argentines. The longer this game goes on the less Ilike Germany's chances but I think they get the job done in regulation.

Correct Score:
Germany 2-1 +869

Germany ML +165
