i'm tellin' ya, fletch, this is the CREEPIEST feeling.........

came home from work yesterday, came to MJ's, and i notice it says Welcome Back seawolf32....i was like, WTF??????

so i started snooping around under the username. there was only a minimum profile filled out and the e-mail was an AOL user, DLapin(xxxx)....... i tried to post under the user, and got the screen that they weren't eligible to post. (taking a guess that whoever it was had never responded to the initial automated e-mail sent out, changed the e-mail address under the user to my MSN account, and then said i forgot my password) :) Since i use AOL, i did a profile search on the username listed in the profile of this user, and it came back to a 25 yr. old male from Long Island, NY, that DID list sports as an interst ......started thinking hmmmm....could it be a site freak out, rather than something actually done ON my laptop. I wrote the username that was listed in the profile tonight, asking them if by chance they had recently registered at madjacksports.com ....they read the mail, (requested return receipt) yet i got no response on it.

this will continue to blow my mind as to how it was cookied to my laptop until i figure it out. UGH

nothing else *messed up* .... actually, one thing could be considered BETTER...LOL (this is something the kids could have done, tho....but they could NOT have registered a new user at Jack's in the manner that it was done) my task bar was cleaned up BIT TIME.......there is a pop up that comes up all the time asking me if i want to get rid of crap not used, and i always ignore it, they could have clicked on it.

the way the *options* were set up, it was obvious it was done by someone that knew what they were doing, and it was a VALID strange e-mail addy that was used.

first thing i did when i saw it, was took a screen capture and e-mailed it to Jack, asking if he knew anything about who this nickname belonged to....right after i hit SEND with the e-mail, the brain kicked in and said DUH..... you are logged IN as this person, you can get all the information you want to on your own :)

this user registered on 9/24, so it was somewhere between then and yesterday that it appeared on my puter, and there is no way of knowing if it had showed up before yesterday and just gone *unnoticed* since i hadn't tried to post (posted last time from work)

Jack had no more info than the stuff i was able to find out on my own. either it was a BUG (that i'm hoping happened to someone else, too) or someone was in here over the past couple of days that did NOT belong in here.

just talked to the AOL user via IM, and he DID register for the site......... so thank GOD it did appear to be some sort of freak happening on cyberspace and NOT a home invader :D

feels good to be back in my own clothes, and released the changed password back to seawolf in order to change it back to his own......

what a long day, LMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
