I have been waiting on this game for weeks. This will be the biggest ass kicking since Robin Ventura vs Nolan Ryan. The line is Miss State -6.5 to 6 everywhere I have been.
1) KJ Jefferson is hurt....may or may not play but will not be 100%
2) We are physically not 100% after 2 extremely physical games against A&M and Alabama
3) Locker room controversy among a couple players...nothing major but bad vibes
4) Our secondary is the worst in the country. Only reason we got back in the game Sat vs Bama was because their 2nd string QB was in due injury. If starter stayed healthy, it would have been 42-0. I honestly can't stress how bad our secondary is. #17's Dad is a friend of mine. He is a walk on starting or playing a ton. It is painful to watch how bad he gets abused.
5) Miles Slusher is hurt...he was brought back too soon and you could see it when he was limping chasing Bama's WRs
6) Mike Leach....see #4 above...I am afraid he will not let off the gas. He wants some style points and this is the QBs chance.
7) State's defense is good....They will see how BAMA kept their pass rush more shallow so there was not a pocket for KJ to step up in and run for 6-7 yards a pop. Bama had this nailed.
8) Our WR are bad and can't run proper routes or catch well....this makes the one dimensional aspect of our running team even worse.
9) Punt coverage for Arkansas is likely the worst in the nation.
10) We are a bad tackling team....period
11) There are no players on sidelines that are not playing already to help our defense improve.
12) Play calling is atrocious and too "tricky"
Obviously I could be wrong, but I am adding Miss State to all of my round robin parlays this week in hopes of having a chance at a big payday. Best of luck....hate to be so high on my teams opponent, but I feel very strong about this one.
