Army's standout QB Bryson didn't play in last game vs Air Force and Monken's statement today is Questionable for Saturday. He has broken about 4 or 5 records at Army for Rushing and scoring Td's. He has over 900 yds rushing and has scored 19 touchdowns . He is among 4 to 5 players that are on the Heismans list He is different because even though he has nice running back moves he has full back mentality . He lowers his head and runs over people . You don't see many qb's that run option and lowers the helmet and creates contact and knocks a LB or CB 3 yds back. And he has an accurate arm and can throw the ball . He has 0 interceptions and doesn't turn the ball over. Army is 8-0 and wants a spot in the College Playoffs But after North Texas they have Notre Dame . Monken is not looking ahead . They know North Texas has a lot of talent is very athletic and is worried his players will take the Mean Green Lightly. North Texas Defense I think will have big time problems trying to stop army's option. Also think Army Defense will have a tough time trying to stop NT's QB and offense. I think Bryson will play and Army wants a shot at the playoffs His replacement last week Coleman did a great job vs Air Force but Black Nites D held AF to 3 points in a 20-3 win. last time North Texas played Army it had snowed the day before Maybe 12 inches of snow I was a guest of Coach Simon the NT coach I sent him video tapes of Armys hi-lites of the games before He sent me two bench passes and 3 other tickets My son and I were on the North Texas sideline bench and my wife was cursing me out in the stands with my daughters freezing . The cadets that morning shoveled the snow under the bench seats It was a cold October day and North Texas players were freezing warming up The only protection they had from the cold was there raincoats . I was going to ask to run over to a wallmart and but the team some sweatshirts. As I'm watching the QB warm up he was shivering The whole team was on the field I had made a bet North Texas -7 and after seeing them warmup wanted to change my bet They had only 4 telephones in the Staduim so never got to change my bet .. The punter and I had a conversation on the bench and he didn't go on for an extra point . He was also the extra pt kicker North Texas won 22-21 My wife wanted to kill me since she was sitting under the snow Crazy day ..
