Kinda agree with this partial article of what Alex should do.
It will take a huge dose of humility and probably require a distasteful public admission of some deep insecurities -- why else would a player as talented as A-Rod feel the need to juice up as a 25-year-old, and again after having narrowly escaped punishment the first time? -- but in the long run, it will pay a lot more dividends than continuing to protect a carefully constructed self-image that is already in ruins.
It is the approach Pettitte said he would recommend, not just for A-Rod, but for any player who finds himself in the position he was in six years ago, a mess of his own making that only he could extricate himself from.
"I wouldn't really know what else to say," he said. "I stood in front of all you guys. I told you guys everything I could possibly tell you."
And it worked. Because of it, Pettitte will never get into the Hall of Fame, but years from now it is unlikely anyone will yell "cheater!" or "phony!" at him from behind the protection of the crowd.
If nothing else, Alex Rodriguez should afford himself the same opportunity.
The all-time home run record and the plaque in Cooperstown are already out in the trash. So (right now) is A-Rod's image.
This is probably his only chance to pull it out of the junk heap, dust it off, polish it up and take it home with him, one of the last remaining mementoes of a baseball career that should have been so much more.

I don't agree. For one thing, how do we know that Pettitte confessed everything completely. He confessed, as all the players do, only what he got caught for. I don't care how far into the future you go, Pettitte will be a cheater in my book, and Arod will be the king of cheaters.

Pettitte has a lot of guts recommending to anyone what to do. First he throws Clemens under the bus and then he says he only used HGH once to help heal an injury. Really, Andy? How dumb do you think we are? (Pretty dumb, for sure!)
I agree with some of the stuff you are saying but you can not deny Andy came out almost smelling like a rose. I still think it's better then saying nothing or fighting it.
I'll give Pettitte credit enough for not denying it til the end like Ryan Braun did. What a fuck stick. I like that his bed buddy Sharron Rodgers so adamantly defended him and said he would bet his salary that Braun was clean. Funny stuff right there. Ryan Braun will be booed by me every time.

Braun was backed into a corner and still lied and lied and thought he would sneak out of it. Braun and the Brewers get a break cause they are dismal. Should of been 100 games but I guess you get a break when the commish used to own your franchise
Couldn't agree more with you bp. Braun should have his MVP award rescinded. Not sure about the scum bag thing. These guys have ruined the record book for MLB, which is unforgivable. What they have done is far worse than what Pete Rose did, in my opinion.
