Does anyone buy this stuff. I'm thinking of trying that new paint roller that they're advertising. I hate to paint, but this thing looks like it might be worth the 20 $. (and I have some painting to do.)

How bout the "magic wallet"? I'd be a little leary of something that makes my $ disappear.

I did buy the "twist-a braid" thing. After 6 years, I can still only do pony tails for my 3 daughters. (and I got tired of practicing on barbie dolls, like my wife suggested.) :p

I can't say that I have never ordered anything off of TV, but it has been very few times (I think about 3). But I love infomercials. I think they are some of the most entertaining stuff on television. I always wonder how much money these people are making. I assume a pretty good amount.

I wouldn't buy into the paint roller. None of those damn things work. Even the higher priced stuff at conventional stores.

My girlfriend's house has a slight roach problem. She's in a heavily wooded area and the house is pretty old. Well, she has a HUGE problem when she sees one (about once every 6 weeks), so I ordered the Pest Offense off TV as a gag gift for X-Mas. As far as I can tell, this thing works about as well as my handicapping methods.

I just saw a new one today at lunch...the Grip Wrench. That thing is great. My partner pointed out something pretty funny. The commercial says that the Grip Wrench will pay for itself over and over. Well at $19.99 when it has a $50 value, doesn't it pay for itself as soon as you open the box.

I was going to come out with one of those compilation CDs myself. The music was going to be the 80s love (if you want to call it that) songs from the R&B groups like Jodeci, Al B. Sure, Silk, etc. I was going to call it "Gettin' Ass" and advertise late night on the music channels. I wrote the commercial and everything, but I lost interest when I saw what kind of process it was to get the rights to the songs.

Oh well. Good luck with the painting.

I don't know if you have them there, but those flat rectangular painters, there called Speed Painters or Pad Painters.

I've used them before and they work great, alot cleaner and easier than rollers and does edges an corners with ease.

Bought some computers ( home/office), no problems and was able to get plenty of extras. Oxy works great, GF owns cleaning business uses that and a few other similar products w/every crew.

the foreman grill IS the lean mean grillin' machine...

my parents got one and they use it about every night lol

they recommended it to my wife and she is very fond of her new cooking device as well.

We have also gotten the 'snap hooks' that use suction to fasten themselves to walls in order to hang things.

I admit they work pretty well....they can hold up a good amount of weight

UGH....do i HAVE to admit how many *as seen on* things we have in this house? LOL

let's see...... marvin's magic drawing board, hairagami, the twist a braid thingy, the magic wallet (which btw, does NOT make money disappear, it just tucks it in), that tray that defrosts thingy's fast (and no, never would have purchased that unless i had seen first hand how well it worked first), ummmm....the printer ink refill kits, the george foreman grill (which i am one of the people that DESPISES), ummm....the magic hooks, the lights that run on batteries, and you just touch them on (can't remember what they are called.) LOTS of DVD's and video tapes for the kids, the funnel cake kit.....ummmmmmmm

(i'll post more as i come acrossed them in the midst of all the other junk....LOL)

oh, and without a doubt, plan on ordering that perfect pancake thing.........that way my kids will be able to fry eggs without breaking them :)

Bluegrass!
I'm a sucker for all dat' friggin chit! Abroller, total gym, ginsu, Foreman, Oxy, Teeth White, cell phone reception enhancer, juicer, dehydrator, and like millions others MR. BILLY BANKS TAE BOE TAPES!! Some of the stuff actualy impressed the piss out of me, but a few like the steam buggy, got returned ASAP.

The king of all infomercials, Ron Popeil(sp?), is one fat cat they say. Guy has supposedly got truckloads of cash for making a complete fool of himself. BUT, like most here, I'd follow in his footsteps.... :brows:

I forgot about the "Foreman Grill"...

I forgot about the "Foreman Grill"...

I've had that for a coupla years. Love it. As for "Oxy-Clean"...my mom got a huge tub of that stuff at Wal-Mart and she loved it. She gave me some of it to try and get rid of the ink pen drawings that my 2 year old put on the walls. (hence the painting). It didn't work!

I checked out Lesko's book from the library (he also has a book of toll free numbers, which was neat, but now outdated).....it's pretty handy...I've seen him on interviews. That's the way he is, no act.

I recently started purchasing the Dean Martin Roast Collection. Loved watching this stuff as a kid. My friends don't know who half the people are and don't get a lot of the humor. Now I watch them with my folks.
