Very quickly,, will add more when I get a sec..

Two unit play on a draw in the England v Aus test at Nottingham; weather forecast for the five days is very poor.

Even allowing for Australia's dominance, there may not be enough time for England to be dismissed twice - especially if Aus bat first.

At $4 at some books still, this is a great bet and probably won't last at those odds for long..

PLAY DRAW AT $4 (TWO UNITS)

Cheers Stan - hard to trust the weather forecasts isn't it; some look real dodgy rain-wise, others a bit brighter.
Just think at $4 it has some real value; hoping Aus bat first and take 3.5 days - including rain - to make 525-3 dec

Then England get rolled for 88 and 123

Just in case anyone else is keen - the pitch conditions at Trent Bridge are generally in favour of the batsman. Don't expect it to offer the pacemen too much - not that Pigeon, Dizzy and Bing will need much

I'd recommend Warne as top wicket-taker as a side wager normally at Trent Bridge but the showers may mean he won't be at the crease too often..

Be lucky to find 3/1 now, best about is around the 3.65 mark

Forecast is for rain/showers first two and a half days, will it be enough to stem another aussie victory, maybe then again this is the best cricket side in history.

Still the odds on the draw, shouldn't get better early on, and one can always hedge out on the Aussies come the 3rd day or so.

Matt - fotunate enough with a bit of heads-up help to get $4 earlier at Sportstab; as you say now $3.65.

And agree, the bonus aspect of test cricket betting at times is the opportunity to hedge during the match (obviously just playing one unit would have given me a sounder base to work from

)

Of course, the disadvantage is forever wondering if some bastard is pocketing a lot of the bookies' wedge before he goes out to bat

Are they the best in history? Must be pretty damn close...

Any chance Stan of four solid days of rain

Watch out for hedge opportunities everyone; with the parlous state of play there could be some nice opportunities to limit the damage..

Geez! The rest of the country was on severe weather alert - danger of sever thunderstorms and floods and Nottingham is the only place to miss it all

Have had a little hedge on England to win so at least I can cheer now when the Aussie wickets tumble
