At least Ed McCaffrey didnt break his leg last night!

As I wrote in Part I of my 2 9/11 articles, thats my most "non-serious" memory from last 9/11. Steady Eddie had just busted up his leg in two places on MNF and I was down down down.

Anyone else with some lighthearted 9/11 moments to share?

I ran into an ex-girlfriend that I hadn't seen or spoken to in eight months the afternoon of the tenth. We ended up going out until bartime and hung out until probably 2:30 in the morning. The next morning it all happened, and after the initial shock wore off (and my friends and relatives in NY at the time were accounted for), I would joke with her that maybe it wasn't such a good idea for us to go out that night... look what happens! It gave a much-needed lighter feel, if only for a moment, to what had been a very heavy couple of days.
