to have a pro franchise in any sport!!! I went to last nights game 5 at Turner field and it was unbelievable how many cubs fans there were at the game. I was sitting in a luxury suite where you would think that most of the fans around that area would be local or at least Braves fans, but NO!! Cubs fans everywhere!!

The falcons games are the same way, nobody goes to them. I dont understand how the people of Atlanta cant support their local teams??

My only conclusion to this is that the majority of the people that are now living in Atlanta did not grow up in Atlanta(moved there in the past 10-15years). Therefore, they grew up rooting for another team. Either way, it was really disappointing to see the lack of fan support for the braves last night, and I really think it impacted the game.

I can somewhat understand what you are saying, but using the Braves-Cubs series is a little skewed. The Cubs haven't had an opportunity to see post-season in a while and they were flying in in droves to pay premium prices for tickets. Atlanta expects to get back to the post-season every year, so it has almost become old hat. I'm not saying that is the right attitude, but your example is an extreme one.

To say that people are not going to the Falcons games is just outright false. Since Blank bought the team and made season and single game tickets affordable, the games are PACKED! It is very tough to find a decent priced ticket on the scalpers market now. Three years ago you could take a small country for a moderate-sized mortgage payment.

IO--I don't understand that reference, but I'm not a real sharp character.;)
