Meant to write this a few days ago. Really liked your write-up on the Blues v Brumbies game. Lots of homework, sound logic - don't get too down that the result didn't go your way. If I'd been on the Blues I think I would have been demanding my money back - even I didn't think they'd be that woeful. You got no bang for your buck from that mob. I look forward to seeing some more of your capping this weekend. GL

Anyway, lesson learnt, never expect a bad team to win for you against the best team no matter what the history.

Last week then playoffs, will any of the NZ teams make it ? Not looking good, Chiefs and Highlanders (Canes?) only teams with a shot I think, and the Chiefs play the Brumbies, and I have them winning by about 20 pts... !!

Aim to have a close look at the playoff implications today as the TAB are offering a book on who makes the semis. Brumbies, Cats, Sharks all $1.00 - wahoo!! - Reds $1.65, next best Chiefs $6. Considering I rate the Reds a good chance NOT to win at NSW or get 4 tries, some of the other teams at 6s or over may warrant a small wager.
Chiefs were huge v the Canes last Friday and John Mitchell has done wonders with them but the Brumbies at the Bruce will be the ultimate test. Expecting the line to be about -8.5/9.5 for the Brumbies..
Also a prop bet worth a small wager for me at the TAB on the top tryscorer in the comp that I'll outline later.
