Auburn pk
Played this one when line came out. Stilll like it up to -2.5. Although MSU has a good home record under Sherrill in the past, this team just doesn't have near the talent this year. MSU has always relied on good defense and their running game. Walker came in this year badly out of shape weighing around 260 and it has showed in his 2.8 ypc thus far. The MSU offensive line is also not as strong as years past as they are starting 2 walk ons. Auburn is very strong on defense, especially against the run. If MSU is forced into long yardage, Auburn should be able to get some pressure on Fant and I don't expect him to have the success he did against Jacksonville St. MSU has some speed at WR but they also drop a lot of balls which could stall some drives. I'm not a big fan of the Auburn offense, but they should score a few against MSU. Williams might break some big runs against the blitzing defense and Auburn has several talent young WRs that are capable of big plays. The MSU CBs are very small at just 5-10 and 5-11 while the Tigers main WRs run from 6-0 to 6-6. Big advantage in special teams should go to Auburn. Duval may be the best punter in the nation and has the leg to kick FGs of over 50 yds while MSUs K is a Juco transfer who hasn't had to make many pressure kicks in the SEC atmosphere. Although I think this game will be relatively close, I think Auburn will control field position and make a few more plays on defense.
