Watch out Smith, people are going to accuse you of being an SEC homer, drinking SEC kool-aid, etc.

The biggest advantage Auburn has is that cbssportsline's genius writer Tony Mejia has once again not only picked Auburn not to cover the spread, but has Wisky winning straight up 20-17. Cbssportsline's other idiot writer,Dennis Dodd, also has Wisky winning SU. This is all the motivation I need to make this my top play for bowl season. Mejia picked Auburn NOT to cover every game this season except the Alabama game. They went 8-2 ATS by the way.

I could be wrong.

I have been before.

But Auburn should win this one going away!!!

41-14

I was shocked at the line myself. I can't believe that Meija or ole Dennis still have a job after the year they've had. I believe Auburn right now could play with both USC and Texas not saying they would win but they by far have the better defense and offense is not to far behind.

Gee, if I was in the SEC I would would say, no wait, I would probably guarantee that Auburn could beat USC and Texas the same day. Probably could beat a team composed of SC's and Texas's best players. You know, neither Texas or SC could win 5r games in the SEC. Probably they could beat an NFL all-star team. Uh, Colts couldn't finish in the top 3 in SEC. Ya'know,ya'knw.

Good point. Peyton Manning never went 12-0 in the SEC.

Jealous of the SEC? Like any person that can see things without bias, I can see through the fraud that is the SEC. Their reputation is built on beating one another and their legacy stays in tact because their out of conference play is horrendous. Do they have excellent teams? Of course, but they are not nearly as good as most people in the SEC and their fans would like to think. And the fans of the SEC are among the most obnoxious of any. They also give themselves alot of breathing room because instead of picking one team to back, they can pick the entire conference and bandwagon to the end of time. I will at least give some props to people displaying the Auburn emblem because they have at least taken one team instead of a conference.

As for oldschoolcapper, maybe you need to update yourself. You are so clever for calling me a name. Just another sign of your class or lack of class. What do you add here? All you ever do is smack your lips about the SEC. I just consider it my job to counter all the propaganda you put out. If your only response is name calling, how old school can you really be? Sounds more like elementary school tactics to me.

ferdville. take er easy

ferdville. take er easy

you must understand that it is our southern way to poke and jab, and yes you are correct, a texas/usc all star team couldn't hold Auburn's Jock this year. Friggin BCS media bias.

Texas/USC all stars - 4

Auburn - 45

it does have a nice ring to it.

:mj07:

And yes I am an Auburn fan, but I am to much of a redneck to understand how to put that little emblem next to my user name.

I knew i would get a response to that. Auburn is playing the best ball of anyone in the nation right now and i am an Alabama fan and i'll admit that. Although this is Coach Alvarezs last game Wisky will not be able to hang with the talent Auburn has Calhoun better run for 300 yards if they want a chance.

How have you arrived at the conclusion that Auburn is playing the best ball in the nation now? You seem to be in the minority and I would be interested in seeing what I am missing. Will they demolish Wisconsin - I think so. Are they a very good team - absolutely. Playing better now than anyone else - what is your definition of now? Do you think they would be USC if they played on neutral field in 3 weeks? If so,why? Not being an ass, would just like to know your feelings. Maybe I am way off on this subject. Many would certainly agree.

This is why.....

This is why.....

smithhappens stating that we are playing some of the best ball in the nation is actually quite accurate. This is one of the only top teams that has gotten better each and every week. . Smithhappens is a Bama fan and I am sure he watched the Auburn Alabama game. The tide was very good football team this year that only lacked an o-line. They had a great D, great QB, great RB. Auburn is firing on all cylinders right now. Lets list Auburn's strengths:

1) VERY fast, aggressive defense, ask Brodie. that typically does EXTREMELY well against pocket passers.

2)Brandon Cox; this Kid has got two more years, he is going to be a great one, and already is very good.

3) RB Kenny Irons is one of the top 5 backs in the country BAR NONE.
212yds. against LSU away at night
190yds. against Georgia away
SEC back of the year

4) The most underrated receiving corp in the country.

5) WE have an o-line that is flanked by all-american marcus mcneil who has not allowed a sack in nearly 40 STARTS!!
He is also projected a top ten pick.

Lets look at the negatives:

1) Had no idea who the RB was going to be against Georgia teach first game of the year, we had four potential starters to replace Carnelll and Ronnie.

2) We also had Cox to throw the ball 50 times in that game in his first start.

3) Field goal kicker wet 1 for 6 @ LSU at night in a low scoring defensive SEC battle. You cannot expect to win when you leave all of 15 points on the table in a game like that.

I just can't point to a weakness on this team right now.

Badgers obvious weakness this year has been their defense.Don't know much about the Auburn O but I'm quite certain they'll get their points.

The only chance the Badgers have is to have a very original gameplan and be able to execute it. They do have some good receivers and Stocco is probably average to slightly above average. Running Calhoun 30 plus times is not going to cut it.

One caveat...in perusing the net you would be hard-pressed to find many Wisky backers. It's all Auburn.

Won't bet on my boys, but I'll be cheering them on. GLTA

RRC......

RRC......

That is what you call a classy post. I for one do not adhere to your morality because I am an Auburn fan and have hung around Crimson Tide fans to long, I am jaded. I think you are makng a rational insight into the game, I commend you. Typically, on this site, If you are a Troy st.,( or any Div. 1) fan and you are playing the mighty trojans from USC, God is going to bless your boys from Troy, Alabama and you are going to beat USC. I am an Auburn fan and i have to admit, I would think the same, and I would beleive myself also.

The only thing in this game that scares me as a Tiger is this being Barry's last game. Do you think that will factor???

rrc,
Don't be fooled by steve2881. He has had an axe to grind against Wisconsin ever since they cost him his tuition money by letting Northwestern beat them 47-44 all the way back in 2000. I told him never to bet against the purple cats, but he had big wisky as his LOCK of the day!

Rumor has it that he may have been the mastermind behind the "lights out" game against UNLV back in 2002. A little birdy told me he had a ton of $$$ on the Rebs!!! :scared

Your boys had me runnin all over the state of Alabama dodging bookies. It is an odd feeling to be aware of the fact that you have been contracted out for 35%.

Hey, but thats what happens when you get involved with he capper of the millinium, AU2001. He's always got a winner, then turns into a loser, and he mysteriously vanishes. They call AU the"grey ghost" around Auburn.

I am sucker AU gimmee a lock and make it stick!!!
