GW, I've been going back and forth on it. Jones seems to destroy guys that he can use his leverage on and struggles with guys that have the same length as he does. Saying that, I think DC is the best combo of wrestling and punching of anyone he'll have faced. Hendo doesn't use his wrestling and IMO Sonnen has no striking.
I may lay off the fight and just hope it's a great 5 rounder that keeps me standing and pumping my fist like I'm in the cage with them.
I have to be honest...leading up to all the histrionics I really liked cormier`s chances......but everything post-fiasco is making me feel like jones might actually be getting inside cormier`s head....he seems to have dialed back on his own confidence....every comment seems like it`s in a more defensive tone....
maybe the ufc warned them to turn it back a notch or two,but that hasn`t stopped jones......
don`t like the way the usually uber-confident cormier is sounding since the shinkick....
I already played the 6-1 par with Poirier(I was surprised that Poirier and McGregor were the same height...I thought McGregor had a real height advantage...good)so that`s a done deal(and it`s not expensive at those odds)....I`m gonna wait and see how these two react to one another and see where the odds go in the interim.....
imo,jones is the best mma fighter pfp ever and cormier is easily top 3-5 currently....but you`re right,jones is just another animal altogether...and taking guys with extreme height disadvantages in 5 round fights scares me...
cormier`s reaction to all the drama is making me rethink a bit...
