Let it be known here that I was a good tennis player back in the day. First singles my Jr and Sr years, all city etc.. and got some college feelers but I wasn't good enough to get a full scholarship so I stayed home with my girl at the time( big mistake) Anyways, I know the game well but rarely bet it.

I've been following Stan and love the guy. He wears his emotions and plays with fire. I've been waiting for him to break on through (to the other side) and he's ever so closing in on the big 4. HOWEVER : you just can't get the damn ball past Rafa. He can run all day and the longer the match goes on the more he should assume control. Can't really get a good number on the match but I think the best value is a play on the third set. By then Rafa should have full mental and physical control.

Despite these plays I would be quite pleased to see Stan win the damn thing.

Just small plays:

3rd set Nadal -285 ( $285/$100)
3rd set under 9'+120 ($50/$60)

Sweet... After the 2nd set I would have sold my bet for 20 cents on the dollar. Now I can go back to rooting for Stan who clearly lost focus after the Nadai injury.

Good job....You now have my attention so I'll be looking for your posts.

And yeah Kick I did get lucky, real damn lucky. The gambling Gods paid me back for the reaming that Eastern Michigan has been providing me with regularity.

Rafa was in obvious distress. Stan the Man is #3 . Now we will see if he can stay there. He lost his mental edge out there pretty quickly after the injury break and it also appeared to me that he didn't care for the slower pace of the ball as it came back to him. Mental note : I'd change speeds constantly if I was playing him. We'll see if that a hole in his game.

At times I can still give my 28 yr old son a good match out there and pull out a set here and there. He's a fairly solid player himself. Youth seems to prevail though, I'm not half as quick as I used to be.

The Aussie open is my fav major of the year. Pretty cool to watch great live tennis at 3 AM and most all of us played 95% of our matches on hard court.
