My friend is a flight attendent for qantas and he is stuck in LA. The airline told the flight crew that they did not even want them to go into the lobby of the Hotel. They were to stay in their rooms until further notice.
They also told them that when they are cleared to go back home they are taking either an empty plane or Australian citizens only.

I just wanted to reiterate what Gloveski said that everyone down under in Australia and New Zealand are devastated by the scenes we are seeing the US.

It may be on the other side of the world but it feels very close to home.
