Round 1 play (4pts):

Robert-Jan Derksen to beat Scott Jamieson +138 @ Boyle Sports
Jamieson may have shown much better form over the last two weeks, but the Tour has now moved on to India and this is very different from the desert golf of the past three weeks. Derksen missed the cut in each of the three events in the Middle East (though by no more than two shots each time), but apart his win in Dubai in 2003, he has a poor record in the Middle East: no top-10 finish in that region in the last five years despite playing 3-4 times a year there. However, in India, Derksen has been much better, making the cut in all five starts in this country and finishing 4th here last year. In fact, it is notable that he has always started fast on this course: in his three starts at DLF course, he has finished the 1st round in 3rd, 3rd and 1st place. Jamieson entered this event in better form than Derksen last year and finished 15 shots behind him. There are good odds that he will do so again.

[unofficial rd1 system plays: Jaidee tb Havret +120; Luiten tb Wattel -125; Jaidee tb Wattel -125; Derksen tb Wiratchant -120; Hansen tb Fleetwood -143; Daly tb Goya -110; Horsey tb Olesen +120; Drysdale tb Olesen -110; Dodt tb Fleetwood -105; Liang tb Chowrasia -130]

Round 2 play (2pts):

Shiv Kapur to beat Peter Uihlein -133 @ Unibet
Uihlein had the better first round score, but Kapur should be the player who finishes this event higher up the leaderboard. He finished ahead of his opponent in India (European Challenge Tour event) three weeks ago and again the following week when Uihlein missed the cut (as he also did last week). And whereas Uihlein is making his course debut, the home player has finishes of 5th and 9th in his three starts on this course. Kapur played well today from tee-to-green, tomorrow he should do the same and score better.

Round 3 play (6pts):

Gregory Havret to beat Joost Luiten +100 @ Paddy Power
A case of deja vu for these two: from similar positions a year ago, Havret shot 68-68 over the weekend to finish 3rd; Luiten shot 71-71 to finish 16th. I'd expect Havret to continue his form on this course, but Luiten does appear to struggle when in the current position: just outside the top-10 at the start of the weekend. Last year, he shot 71-71 over the weekend to finish 23rd, then there was this event last year, he then shot 73-71 to drop to 34th in the Sicilian Open, and last month he shot 77-77 to drop to 26th in the Volvo Golf Champions. Maybe he is forcing his game when just out of contention. If it happens again tomorrow, this should be an easy win.

[unofficial rd3 system plays: Plaphol tb Whiteford -110; Singh J tb Luiten +110]

Round 4 play (2pts):

Marcel Siem to beat Jbe Kruger -110 @ Stan James
Standard play to oppose the final round leader with the player in 2nd place. Kruger has only held the lead once previously heading into the fourth and final round - the 2010 King's Cup - and he shot 73 in the final round of that Asian PGA Tour event to finish 2nd. This is a European Tour event, so there will be a lot more pressure on him. With Siem in good form - 35th, 12th and 4th in the last three weeks - he should put the leader under a lot of pressure tomorrow.

[unofficial rd4 system plays: Donaldson tb Luiten -105; Donaldson tb Wiesberger -125; Olesen bt Fraser -120; Maybin tb Wiesberger -135; Davies tb Nirat -145; Olesen tb Goya -125; Sterne tb Marksaeng -125; Murray tb Karlberg -110; Floren tb Henson -125; Dodt tb Siddikur +105]
