Just logged on.
I've been coming to this site for 10 years. Before I met him, I knew him. He had a briilliant wit online, and a warm heart in person. He was cutting and cold and deadon in his posts, yet kind, humorous, and soft in one on one conversations.
He was my friend. The world is a lesser place without him. This site has suffered a terrible and irriplaceble loss. Matt you will be missed.
Cheers,
Tom

Matt,
Since 2000 or so I have had the pleasure of being on the good side and the bad side of your biting wit, sharp tongue and undeniable zeal for what was fun about this thing that is life. You have made me laugh until tears came, now it is time for more. Your personality always won the day as never was a man that met you not left without a warm thought about you as a person. I personally witnessed the effect you had on others as your strength of character and unflappable zeal for the punch line never went unnoticed or unappreciated. I recall the first time we met was when you and Jack picked me up from the airport. While we may have not always seen eye to eye, your hand came straight out with a warm smile and a knowing hello and laugh. Many times I have found myself reading through your old posts lately and never once have I gone away without the profound awareness that the world is just a bit less today and always will be without you in it to remind us that we aren't all that we think we are. It's funny, as many pictures of you there are on this forum of you falling asleep in some chair somewhere and everyone getting a good laugh about it, myself included.............If I had known that you would have left us far too soon, I am sure I would have kicked the chair over and watched you fall to the floor completely unaware and laughed hysterically. It would have given me one more memory, one more laugh and most importantly, one more moment to have fun with a friend. I know that the pain of life bears it weight on us all here at MJ's at times and we have all seen our share of hard times, but the truth is, none of that matters now, because your life has touched so many people here and brought about so many smiles and just plain belly laughs that all I can think about is if they serve Crown in Heaven. For your sake my friend............I hope they do and you can sleep peacefully in any chair you want. I will miss that picture though. God speed buddy, I miss ya.

2/12/2011 we lost a good one. I think of you all the time, Matt. Smurph just reminded me that tomorrow was the day but we found out it was the 12th. I'll see you again one of these days, Matt.
