Round 1 plays (4pts):

Richie Ramsay to beat Stephen Gallacher -138 @ Bet365
A runner-up last year and 13th in 2011, Ramsay is clearly a player to back in terms of course form. That he also finished 15th in his last start and has a 16-4-1 h2h 1st round record against Gallacher reinforces this play.

Prom Meesawat to beat Mu Hu -135 @ 5Dimes
Meesawat is another player in good form - top-30 finishes in each of his last four starts - and he has a much better record on this course than his opponent.

Richie Ramsay to beat Kiradech Aphibarnrat -110 @ Stan James and BetVictor
No doubting Aphibarnrat's form, but Ramsay still holds a 9-3-0 h2h record against the Thai golfer and that includes the last two years on this course where Ramsay has performed so well.

Prom Meesawat to beat Jbe Kruger -110 @ Stan James
Kruger did finish 5th in the Chiangmai Golf Classic in Thailand last month, but he has recorded no other top-25 finishes in his last nine starts this year. Meesawat finished ahead of him here last year and I'll back him to repeat the feat.

[unofficial rd1 system play: Aguilar tb Bhullar -125]

Round 4 plays (2pts):

Louis Oosthuizen to beat Wade Ormsby -169 @ Pinnacle [also available @ 5Dimes]
These two have played in the same event on 69 previous occasions, but only once has Ormsby shot the lower 4th round score. Short odds on Oosthuizen to win, but fully warranted.

Magnus A. Carlsson to beat Tommy Fleetwood -111 @ Bet365 [also available @ Paddy Power]
Carlsson has continued the good form that saw him finish 4th last week in Spain. He is currently in 15th place on the leaderboard, but ranks 3rd in greens in regulation so it is only a lukewarm putter that is holding him back this week. With a 8-2-1 h2h record against Fleetwood (7-1-1 in the final round), I expect him to continue his dominance of this matchup tomorrow.

Eddie Pepperell to beat Jyoti Randhawa -111 @ Bet365
Pepperell is another who has continued his good form from Spain where he also finished in the top-10. For Randhawa, it is only a very hot putter that has ended his record of missing every cut on this course: he ranks next-to-last in greens in regulation. It should be much harder to score well again tomorrow when he is struggling to hit greens, so I'll back Pepperell in this situation.

Ashun Wu to beat Scott Hend -111 @ Bet365
Hend did win the Chiangmai Golf Classic on the Asian PGA Tour last month, but it is a different matter in the bigger events co-sanctioned by the European Tour. He has finished ahead of Wu just once in the last five years in these events and he already trailing after 54 holes.

Magnus A. Carlsson to beat Stephen Gallacher +120 @ BetVictor [also available @ Pinnacle and 5Dimes]
Gallacher did win the Dubai Desert Classic in February, but he has no other top-20 finishes in 2013; Carlsson has two in his last three starts. With the Swede also performing better than his opponent from tee-to-green this week, there is value at these odds in backing Carlsson.
