definitely not offended, but the statement certainly doesn't look like the most thought out one I have seen. Borders on outright ignorant.

Conversely the media is guilty of gross overkill as usual. 10 times at least since noon television has had BREAKING NEWS of this News. I fully understand how people feel about animals, and this animal definitely suffered. But at the same time, probably 8 21 year old Americans have probably died in Iraq with little notice, makes you wonder sometimes.

you're right...i'm ignorant, retarded, stupid, and a douche!

the horse should have been put down the day after he fell and broke his leg, but because of $$$ and NO other reason, this was dragged on and on and on...i was sick of daily barbaro updates.

i will say a prayer for barbaro and his family tonight at the dinner table.

Never said "you" were ignorant dude, I don't even know you. Said, the statement borders on ignorant.

You must admit, anyone finding happiness and glee posting smile faces etc. at anyones suffering and ultimate execution is somewhat odd.

Wareagle, obviously you don't follow nor care about horse racing, but Barbaro was a warrior on the track and off. For him to almost make it thru that horrible injury was amazing. He showed no signs of not wanting to fight thru his injury and as soon as he did (today) he was put to rest. Im sorry that you have nothing better to do than bash a horse that has touched more people than anyone thought was possible.

RIP Barbaro.

i heard that there has been a tremendous increase in donations for medical research by prolonging barbaro's life......so something good did come from this injury.

these are the types of comments i'm talking about...

please explain this to me

He didn't seem bummed or down throughout this whole ordeal. If you knew anything about horse racing, you'd know about his connections. They are great people who don't NEED the $$$. If Barbaro was showing signs of being in misery he would have been euthanized a long time ago. He faught through every complication he had with heart. Im gonna go out on a limb and guess you don't even know anything about what has gone on the past for months with Barbaro.

WarEagle, every living thing has the ability and choice to flight to live, or succumb to pain or disease. Surely you have been to a nursing home, or watched a friend or relative battle disease, least watched national Geographic?

didnt seemed bummed or down??!!!...no sh*t! he was a focking horse. if you honestly dont think this had to do with money than you you are the one with no clue! that is the only reason this has been dragged out this long. did you cry when Mr Ed died? lastly, i thought it was a typo at first, but it's fought, not faught...

are you really comparing this death to a human's??

are human's euthanized?

do people bet on human's to race around a track?

did grandparents live in a barn?

this is laughable...

Haven't you ever had a pet put to sleep, I believe Barbaro was just as much a part of the owners family as your pet. RIP Barbaro
